Here We Go! Dallas@Tampa now minus 9! Whatta Ya Think? (1 Viewer)

My thoughts - Those are some great fantasy qbs.  Brady threw some into the dirt but he's still got a bomb on him.  Dak made a bunch of just stupid throws sandwiched between some nice tight windows (one of which was intercepted off of CeeDee lambs hands).  Hopefully rust.

Running games non existant.  Game was going to be a shoot out so this isn't too unexpected. Rojo fumble benched and never heard from again, fournette (sp) forced into passing game where he generally looks uncomfortable outside of one great catch while Brady was falling, pollard was there? earlier more than, zeke lacked power and did a skip on his few touches.

Wrs were lethal, including Gronk, who channeled his younger self in the endzone which because of te fantasy quality might be important.   Generally my rule of thumb is wait until week three to make complete judgements.  Which is a warning I feel I need to make here.

Gallup looked good but got hurt.   Offense suffered without him.  Dallas tes got a lot of work, also worth looking into.  Less so as Dak will probably not pass a thousand times again.  Lamb is an amazing WR in space and is stuck with an awful head coach.  If he learns to catch the ball he will be amazing. Cooper might be a ppr cheat code.  He's daks most reliable target, and he does deep routes.  Evans had an Evans game.  There was an Evans drive in this game where Brady passed to Evans.  It wasn't successful.   Thus we wait for the week where Evans gets us closer to 1000 yards and 10 tds.   Godwin's second half fumble is the downside to a player who fights for every single yard.  When he caught that ball he was about 15 yards from the end zone (if memory serves me right) and he was still fighting at the five.  That last catch was blatant pi.  AB still has it.  What else can you say?

Kickers shouldn't be in fantasy football

Shout out to my man C Davis for grabbing me an int!

Yeah. One of those that is 50/50. I prefer they don't call those but I found myself rooting for the Cowboys in this game.
I don't even know who I wanted to win.  I'm a dolphins fan so I'm supposed to hate TB12, but the guy has such an incredible life.  And this is probably one of the few close games they'll play and I should want them to not threaten my dolphins lone perfect season, but maybe I secretly want that to be just the next accomplishment for the GOAT.  I don't know anymore.

Brady is impossible to hate at this point. Even his biggest opponents can’t hate on the dude. He’s Jeter and MJ.

It’s ####### annoying

What I don't understand is some of the Pats fans that now hate him....

as a Pats fan myself, I don't blame him for leaving. The team around him sucked at the time with no signs of getting better.... coach previously wanted to trade him and keep Garapallo (had the owner not stepped in) so no loyalty shown from the other side.

The guy (and Gronk) has given me so much joy over the past 2 decades, ... I could never hate him.

That said, I hope the Pats kick his ### week 4.

Fantasy questions after tonight?

1. Is Antonio Brown going to be an elite WR1?

2. Is Mike Evans going to be an elite WR1?

3. Is Cee Dee Lamb going to be an elite WR1?

4. Is Gronkowski back as an elite TE?

5. Is Elliot going to be a bust (based on where he was likely drafted in your league)?
1. Low end WR1 IMHO

2. unlikely

3. low end WR1

4. Top 12ish

5. Yes.  We will have to see how it works out when Dallas is winning by more than one score, but I can’t envision first round value.

1. No but he'll be a playable WR2 in your flex that you drafted in the 8th round.

2. No. I think Evans will end the year with some "non bust" stats but most owners will feel like they get too many games under 10 ppr points. End of year WR 22 but less reliable than the other two RB WRs. The Gronk targets in the RZ really cap his upside.

3. You keep using that word. Elite WR1. Do you mean "top 12" or do you mean "top 3" Tampa lost a a CB in this game early and clearly didn't have their stuff together against the pass. They were always more stout against run than pass so the Cowboys passing game IMHO looked more prolific than it might really be. The decimated KC Oline in the SB has skewed people's impressions of just how good Tampa's D is. Cee Dee will probably be a top 15 WR but top 3? In all likelihood no. If Amari and Gallup both go down, maybe. Too much Target competition.

4. Gronk, I think probably yes.

5. Zeke looked bad and Pollard was getting touches. Too soon to conclude based on the team they were facing and the game script.

I never thought I was gonna have a TE controversy between Mandrews and Gronk.

A good friend in my league also has both and started Mandrews. I was congratulating him by text all game, assuming that, as a HUGE Pats fan, he had started Gronk. He had not . . .

Living here in New England having suffered through the Pats seasons of dominance - Pats fans don't hate him. They still love the ******* and now they all love TB as their "#2 team".

It's sickening.

The irony for me is that I made sure to grab a set it and forget it TE (Andrews) so I wouldn’t have to make decisions on who to start. I probably lead the league in starting the wrong guy in close decisions.

Agree and disagree...it is all about the "pink hats" when it comes to rooting for the Bucs...overall, he gets nothing but love, anyone who has any ill will for him is a tool and I personally don't know anyone who feels that way...as for the Bucs being the #2 team I find it is the bandwagon fans/pink hats who feel that way and not the "real" fans...any fan who cared about this franchise pre-TB12 (or grew-up in this area) usually does not root for any other team.

what was offensive PI.  Dallas got jobbed.
It probably was offensive PI, but Dallas did not get jobbed. They were +3 in the turnover battle (+2 really if you want to remove the Hail Mary INT which is a token turnover that meant nothing) on the road against the defending champs.  Maybe McCarthy shouldn't have attempted so many field goals, or maybe the play calling shouldn't have been so atrocious in the last two minutes (yeah, we moved the ball down the field throwing it, so let's start running it to ensure that the Bucs get it back with plenty of time for TB12 to drive it down the field and beat us).  Dallas has only themselves to blame for that loss.  In many regards, they couldn't have played any better...and they still lost.
