Hey, Koya saved my life and other men's health issues (1 Viewer)

So here's the story. I left the board. This hopefully isn't a look at me thread but does a service to everyone on the board. It's a PSA, essentially.

But it's no joke. When Koya talked about how he had been hurt it sort of clicked with me about being hurt and seeking out help and doing other things. Um, I got a bacterial infection and it'll be okay, but I almost lost my arm and life. The nurse said that within a day or two, my arm was gone. It was serious. I was on dilaudid at one point. That's serious ####.

Please, again, if you're in pain, go get looked at. Especially if you're an athlete and you're used to pain, but all of the sudden feel it. And it feels wrong. It's important, and I thought of that message, so maybe this will hammer it home from a reviled guy on the board who is still kicking because of Koya's message.

It was nice to have, and I've had to advocate for my own health. I know I sound nuts, but my arm blew up like a ####### bacterial balloon. My niece, who likes nobody, was ####### scared. The nurses, who my Legal Profession teacher told never to pick for a civil jury if damages are involved -- they were scared and couldn't believe they let me go for simple non-hospital medication that was prescription, but OTC. I needed IV's badly. Advocate for yourself, and do so.

So thanks, bud.

Wow man - glad you're back, thanks for the advice and here's hoping you're doing well and fully recovered. - SID
Thanks, man. I missed the Giants/Jets game to go to the hospital, and that's the biggest game of the year for me. I got back in the third quarter, enough to see a Jets win. Then I spent a few days in intensive care, but I think all will work out well.

Thanks for the well wishes. I just hope we all know empirically what is wrong with our bodies and advocate for ourselves, even in the face of probability.

Glad you're better rock - welcome back
Thanks, man. I appreciate it. I'm bigging up Koya for having an influence on me.

I just can't thank enough because that was running through my mind. I hope this makes a difference. If it's a look at me thread, then #### it, and make the most of it.

My arm suddenly ballooning up is not the same as an strain joint or something from working out I would not think.

Glad you're ok.

Good on ya rockaction and welcome back. We all need to stop and pay attention when things aren't right especially as we wear a little.

Hey, look at me I didn't lose my arm!

J/k, glad you are okay and the more awareness we can have around getting your ### to a doctor when things are not right the better.
