Nope. I live half way across the country, but even so, I talk/see the people I want to from my class. There is a reason I don't talk to most
Talk about living in a bubble. Boy.
I get the joke, but I hardly live in a bubble considering I moved half way across the country when I would guess 90% of my graduating class still live within 20 miles of the town they grew up in (probably close to half still live in the town)
Only going for the obvious joke. No judgements.

Small to medium sized public HS (350 in class) in Louisiana.

We actually had a 5 year (!) but my HS friends and I skipped out to go to Florida. 10 was in a hotel ballroom and was awful; jetted early and missed the fight at the bar. I was co-planner and treasurer for the 20th and thought it was a pretty good time at a high end wine bar. $60 per head and we had ~120 classmates (around 200 people) attend with a fairly diverse group and more drink tickets than I could pass out since my co-planner was wasted pretty early. Wouldn't do it (reunion planning) again with 30th upcoming in 2026.
Was the fight a fist fight? High school rivals or something left over from high school?

I went to my 20th. A friend of mine hooked up with a married girl. One guy tried to instigate a fist fight because of some HS grudge. Another guy flew in from Calif with an acoustic guitar and played songs no one wanted to hear at the after party. Twas great.

Haven't heard any plans for next one, but pretty depressing that the number will start with a 4.

Always go and always have a great time catching up with people I grew up with…was fortunate to grow up with a fun cast of characters and the older I get the more I appreciate them and the shared memories from a great time of life…my college reunions are lights out…everyone stays in the dorms for the weekend and it is a complete s***show and good for a 3 day hangover.

No and never will.

That said, I would consider going to a college/post-college school reunion (but haven't to date). Do others feel differently about those as well?

I am in a pair of Facebook groups that are designed to bring together people that were there from a certain time period while in college. I am in one from 88-94 and another from 95-02, only because I bridge both (was there 92-97). The 95-02 group, for the past four years, had held a yearly "reunion" of sorts up where we went to school (Santa Barbara). It's a fun opportunity to hobnob with folks that you probably partied with at some point during college. Good networking opportunities, too.

Sort of, the spouse of one classmate and the HS ex. Apparently, cops were called, HS ex was hauled away, real dumpster fire. Sadly, they were divorced by the 20 and everyone was denied round 2 viewing. Still can't believe I missed it.

2900 air miles and my parents aren't there any more, it's never going to happen... and that's with my wife in the same graduating class.

I would think I might if I went to a small town high school where a lot of people knew each other even before starting. I went to Brooklyn Tech with a graduating class of 1200 kids. I knew only 3 other kids to start freshman year. While I enjoyed the school, I didn't even go to the prom and never went to any reunions.
Bronx Science here, also a large graduating class. I did go to my 20 and 25 year, but none since. Mostly the city kids went, who I was friends with, but it was still pretty clique-y.
Couple of smarty pants, you two - impressive.

10, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40.
Until three years ago I lived within a mile of my high school. Now just over 100 miles away.
We, Class of '82, have a good core group that gets together. From a class of about 200, we had about 40 classmates show for our 40th.

The Middle School we went to is being torn down soon, the district arranged a final walkthrough so people could walk the halls one more time.
Our high school class had about 15 people show up for that.

I barely squeaked into Tech. Was shooting for Stuyvesant. Just glad I didn't have to go to my local HS. It was notorious as one if the worst, crime ridden schools in the city at the time. Franklin K. Lane HS.

off topic…..senior season in HS, we squeaked into the baseball playoffs and wound up playing brooklyn tech round 1 at lincoln. they beat us 6-5 in extras but i hit a salami over the lincoln scoreboard in RF. never heard of BT and they travelled a bunch of fans to the game, they brought washboards for noise and seemed full of cholos…..i was scared a bit of being shanked.

Tech was in a rough neighborhood when I went there. Boarded up buildings all around and muggings were common on your way to and from the train or bus. You had to travel in groups. Now it's a gentrified high end area with expensive brownstones.

I probably partied with you as I went down a couple years in that time frame for the Halloween craziness in IV (I went to Cal Poly - SLO and had friends at UCSB). I remember on the walkway on the 2nd floor overlooking some courtyard in an apartment complex and some cops came into the courtyard trying to calm things down. One cop had a couple people up against a wall and some stupid drunk dimwit decided it would be fun to try and grab the cops gun.........that guy regretted it immediately as he went flying and the cops were on him so fast. It was absolutely crazy times. That dimwit wasn't you, was it? hahahahaha

Hahah, definitely not me. I did some dimwitted things while at SB but not that!

The Halloween in '92 when I first got there was INSANE.

The next 1-2 were super fun, but I think by the time I was a senior and super-senior, the local government/law enforcement kinda put a kibash on it.

The Facebook group(s) I'm in has people in it that didn't actually go to UCSB... the name of it is "I Partied in Isla Vista [during these years]". I think it's probably 90% UCSB grads but a handful of folks that just "partied there" at some point!

You should PM me the names of your UCSB pals, I could very well know them (or be fraternity brothers with them for that matter).

Live in NC / 40th in NY next weekend. Nowhere near as far as some of you but still too far to go. I would go if I lived up there though. I've enjoyed seeing people from the past, if for nothing more than "hey, how did your life turn out?"
