Highest Upside for 2011? (1 Viewer)

Gibson is sitting on my waiver wire, while Moore was drafted. I am strongly considering dropping Andre Roberts for Gibson...I think he has the potential to be a quality play this year.

Same in my league. My ww is locked until Tuesday after the first week. Hopefully he doesn't blow up in week one.

Is this a poll? I can't see the choices from my phone, which is unfortunate because I'm in the market for some upside WRs. Can anyone else see the poll from their crappy iPhone?

Moore by a mile. Gibson could get cut. The rams can only hold 6 WRs and MSW, Amandola, Salas, and Pettis are guaranteed spots. Leaving the last 1/2 spots to Donnie Avery, Danario Alexander, and Gibson.

Gibson, and I don't think it is close.

Gibson is the #1 wr (check out the official team depth chart) in the featured flanker position one week before the season starts. The QB and coaches have said repeatedly that he has had a great camp. He has a good young qb and a high-powered offense that did wonders last season with Lloyd and company. He plays in a division with pretty weak secondaries (Seahawks, Niners, Cardinals). He has good size and is just entering his third season.

Moore has had a great camp, but he is not a starter right now (he is second or third string). DHB is going to start for awhile at least opposite Ford. Campbell was not very good last year even with Zach Miller opening up the field and the o-line is going to suffer without Gallery, who was one of their best blockers last year. The Raiders also have a dysfunctional organization that can certainly can cause turmoil for the team (the players will probably be dealing with another qb controversy by week 4 again). He is also just a rookie.

 Might want to read a few of Henry's camp reports and also check in to the Rams WR thread.

I'd go with Moore, there are a lot of injuries & a lack of talent ahead of him in Oakland. I'm steering clear of all the somewhat good options in St Louis, I wouldn't be surprised to see several different sets of starters throughout the season.

I burned late round picks on both guys. Guessing they'll both be mid-season drops, but who knows? Push comes to shove, I'd throw my hat in w/ Moore based on talent, plus given the inability of Chaz to stay healthy, the terrible-ness* that is DHB and pedestrian-ness* of Hagen, Moore could see the field on a regular basis at some point, kinda like, oh, Jacoby Ford last year.

* yeah, I know, those aren't real words

He was originally an Eagles draft pick and was dealt to STL for Witherspoon since Philly had issues with MLB when Stewart was hurt. Gibson's running with the one's and had almost 53 catches last year heading into a McDaniels coached offsense. Was really shocked how poorly the FG staff rated him this offseason, he literally didn't even make the top 100 WR's this offseason. He was all Pac-10 and the Cougars all time leading WR. As a Birds fan, I hated to see him go, but he honestly never would have got a shot with the stable Philly has a WR. I take Gibson, but highest ceiling is Moore. Speed isnt Gibson's game - he'll can potetnially be a dependable #2.

:goodposting: Moore has excelled at flanker while Jacoby Ford was out in camp. It was only a broken hand, and Jacoby Ford is going to be 100% come week 1. He has not lost his starting spot. Any way you shake it, I do not think you want the Raiders #2 WR. Most of Moore's value comes in leagues that reward punt and return statistics.Gibson on the other hand is going to get first shot at the Rams #1 flanker job. I have grabbed him late in drafts and hope that he can make the big plays. If he can't, others are healing up behind him. He is a high risk, high reward pick. Perfect for late rounds.

DHB couldn't catch a VD in a brothel.
DHB has looked better lately and Al Davis still wants him starting. That goes for a lot in Oakland.
