Hillary takes responsibility for loss. Blames Russia, FBI, misogyny, media, and unprecedented interference. (2 Viewers)

In the end Trump outworked her in the swing states.  Seemed like Trump was in Michigan every week hitting all the big areas and he only won Michigan by 10K.

Debbie Dingell  was on local radio today saying that they begged Clinton to come to Michigan the last couple of months before the election  when the tide was turning. To visit and speak to her large district  but the campaign totally blew her off thinking Michigan was a lock.

I don't think the crappy play is being ignored.  My comment was that both can be true.

I don't think it is nitpicking, but going to the core issue and the Silver article that you were responding to.  I think it is possible to say that Clinton lost because (i) she ran a poor campaign that left it closer than it should have been and (ii) the Comey letter probably flipped close swing states on election day.
She lost because she sucked. Period. The end. I do not buy her argument that Comey is the reason she's not president today. She's up on the stage saying if the election were held on Oct. 27th she would be president. Well, guess what? The election is not held on October 27th, it's held on a Tuesday in November. Imaging Matt Ryan Superbowl post-game lamenting if only the game had ended with 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. She's being ridiculous. Even more ridiculous is this is her post-election strategy as to lay the groundwork for 2020. This is the best she could come up with. If that doesn't tell you how lousy she is at this game then nothing will.

Also, it sure is telling that Trumpers have spent more time in the last 24 hours taking shots at a private citizen in this thread than they have defending their president on substance in the last month.
Same problem they're having in the White House.

They're the dog that finally caught the car.

Lol

i don't lay down with no whore, and I don't wake up with no whore

i hate trump, but Hillary deserves no quarter

GTFO, she opened her self up to the possibility of renewed criticism so she can sell her new book.
You could have criticized her all you wanted even if she hadn't appeared in public since November 9. The point is that you chose to do so, and for the most part choose not to defend the actual president who you helped put in office.  Why is that, do you think?

She needs to go away. Every second of time the media devotes to covering her takes away from their responsibility to be covering the Trump trainwreck and helping to ensure its proper logical downfall. She's doing yet another disservice to the country by being a distraction.

You're done Hillary.

Girl don't go away mad...

FAIL.   I had nothing to do with putting President Agent Orange in office, but, there you go with your assumptions again.  A better question is why you choose to defend either of these morons?

Because she actually cares about the issues she's been advocating for for decades?
There's better ways to do that than running for President and she should focus on that.

ETA - to be clear I have no clue if she's thinking of running in 2020 but if she's really trying to make a difference she can

You know, it's amazing that this guy won the election since apparently only like two of the hundreds of posters around here voted for him.

Anyway, I defend people from criticism I believe is unfair all the time, no matter what I think of them overall. Believe it or not I've probably done it with Trump as much as anyone else around here since his presidency began.

She's never going away. Ever see The Terminator? She'll never stop. All we can do is pray the people who still believe she's a good candidate will see the light by 2019.

Trump said way worse things about lots of people.  He literally said "how stupid are the people of Iowa?" and then won the state by 9 points. In fact it's worth asking why he was allowed to get away with such things when Clinton was lambasted for saying far less.
Because she's a horrible candidate that nobody likes or trusts. She will never be president. Bwahahahahaaaaa

Your nonsense is "facts".  Priceless.

I believe she's a hypocrite.  She supports womens rights but also is married to a guy that treats women poorly and supports him.  She gives political favors to countries that donate large sums of money to her personal foundation.

We'd all love it if you would move on like you keep asking the rest of us to do.  I'll continue to post about her if I choose though but thanks for your concern yet again.
I look forward to your equivalent outrage for Ivanka's Foundation out of WH.

That's the answer, but it's one most of the people here will never accept. Hillary has always believed in public service. It's the central theme of her life.
She's a psychotic egomaniac who wants to be in the public's view so she can bask in all her glory who lost to a psychotic egomaniac who wants to be in the public's view so he can bask in all his glory.

  That's fine, you can ignore the data all you want.  She's so "lousy" at politics that she's the most successful female politician in US History.  Do you realize how silly you sound when you type crap like that?

Assigning personal motivations to people you don't know personally is unwise.  I do it too, though I am much better at avoiding it than I was years ago.
In general it's unwise. But she isn't a typical person. We have decades of observing her to know pretty well who she is.

Same can be said of Trump too.

That's what she is. She will use anyone she can to get what she wants and then forget about them after they have served her purpose. It's blatant & we are lucky she has been stopped.

In private this is her: Clinton did not appreciate that. “She looks at me and says, ‘You don’t know a ####### thing you’re talking about. You’re a blank. You’re a blank.’ She used a strong curse word that she uses,”  About as presidential as Trump, she just does it behind closed doors. She's a massive POS. With first hand experience working at a company and seeing this type of person running the department, people like this disgust me.

yes/no

She achieved greater heights as a politician than any female politician in US History, but she also lost not just one, but two national elections to candidates that were considered far inferior at the time.  Trump was a horrible and basically unelectable candidate and yet, here we are.  That has to count for something.

Yeah, thank God we stopped that.

You know the old line about how if you look around the table and can't figure out who the sucker is, it's you?

It is probably more fair to say she would have won the election if nobody had found out the DNC was actively working to tilt the playing field in her favor against Sanders.

But it is the hackers and leakers who were 100% to blame, not the people who wrote all those emails, right?
Were the emails ever actually released to the public?  I here a lot about emails.  Where are they all?  Or are they just a bogeyman.

Wikileaks released many of them and apparently they release them in a manner where the authenticity can be verified by security experts.

I'm kinda torn on this.  On one hand, I think Trump has fewer checks and balances around him and is more likely to go overboard and do some real lasting damage.  On the other, Hillary already knew the game and had her plans already laid for what she was going to do as President.  At least Trump will have to fumble around for a while trying to figure out how to screw the country over.  Hillary already had a detailed outline in place and the staff ready to go day 1.

She's the Cleveland browns of politics

One of them is the President of the United States and is a childish moron. The other is unemployed and is not a childish moron. Probably best to focus your energies on the former.

I was talking about during the election.  At this point, yes, I am holding my breath waiting for some kind of catastrophe or WW3.

IMO, most of the people dissecting the reasons that Hillary Clinton lost the election (including Hillary) are wrong. The main reason is that Hillary did not lose so much as Donald Trump won.

And the main reason that Donald Trump won, according to exit polling, is white racism and bigotry against Latinos and Muslims:

https://theintercept.com/2017/04/06/top-democrats-are-wrong-trump-supporters-were-more-motivated-by-racism-than-economic-issues/

Hillary certainly made a lot of mistakes, but there was nothing she could do to combat this racism and bigotry.

Putinleaks cares about verifying authenticity? Really?
Yes.  Otherwise, the releases wouldn't be worth much.

Apparently, there is a way to validate that they are real and unedited.  That's why their content was never really argued, just how they were gathered.

Meh. Pretty sure there was plenty of that but Trump ultimately won because he convinced blue color workers in the rust belt he'd bring back manufacturing jobs. The jingoistic hate/fear mongering also worked on many of them as well.

I have no doubt some of the info they release is real and verifiable. Better than to seed with misinformation.

That would make 30% of Hispanic voters bigoted against themselves.  That's a lot of self-loathing.

This is what most analysts have argued since the election. It's what I believed. The polling shows it's wrong. Read the link; there are plenty of others.

Philip Klinkner, a political scientist at Hamilton College and an expert on race relations, has pored over this ANES data and tells me that “whether it’s good politics to say so or not, the evidence from the 2016 election is very clear that attitudes about blacks, immigrants, and Muslims were a key component of Trump’s appeal.” For example, he says, “in 2016 Trump did worse than Mitt Romney among voters with low and moderate levels of racial resentment, but much better among those with high levels of resentment.”

The new ANES data only confirms what a plethora of studies have told us since the start of the presidential campaign: the race was about race. Klinkner himself grabbed headlines last summer when he revealed that the best way to identify a Trump supporter in the U.S. was to ask “just one simple question: is Barack Obama a Muslim?” Because, he said, “if they are white and the answer is yes, 89 percent of the time that person will have a higher opinion of Trump than Clinton.” This is economic anxiety? Really?

Other surveys and polls of Trump voters found “a strong relationship between anti-black attitudes and support for Trump”; Trump supporters being “more likely to describe African Americans as ‘criminal,’ ‘unintelligent,’ ‘lazy’ and ‘violent’”; more likely to believe “people of color are taking white jobs”; and a “majority” of them rating blacks “as less evolved than whites.” Sorry, but how can any of these prejudices be blamed on free trade or low wages?
