Holy Shipp! (1 Viewer)

Cant think Edge is too happy today with no TDs while Shipp gets 3. I assume they were using Shipp all day at the goalline?

Wow..

James, who had 94 yards in the first meeting against the Rams in the third week of the season, didn't mind his teammates finishing off drives.

"I had an opportunity to go in, and I said, 'No, let Shipp go in,"' James said, "because they've been so supportive of me in practice and everything."

Well Edge is worthless. In my 32 team dynasty im going with C Houstin in the playoffs. Edge isnt catching passes over the last few games either.. He has fallen out of the top 30 fantasy wise. Pretty sad :bye:

A week after his replacement in Indy rushed for more TDs in one game than Edge has in the entire season.

Today the guy the Edge replaced equalled his season total for TDs in one game.

Those TDs cost an owner in our league a playoff berth.

He has James and if he would have gotten just one of those TDs he would have won, instead he loses by 3.

That just plain stinks. I feel bad for the guy.

The only explanation is that he felt motivated from his alma-mater's success in the 1AA championships.

UMass won on Saturday to make it to the Semifinals.

Woot Woot! :ptts:

In all seriousness, somone posted a link here that Denny was going to "try to find a role for everyone".

Apparantly he was serious.

So whats the deal with Shipp? Goalline back, or one week fluke? Even One score would be enough for me to consider him a good option next week. Any AZ residents know the skinny on Shipp? Is he the goalline "closer"?

Shipp, before today, was adding to the NFL record for number of touches without a TD (dating back to 2003). Today was a fluke.

Pretty sure he doesn't care.Crazy as it sounds, Edge doesn't care about your fantasy football team.

Well, I guess that makes it all even since I'm pretty sure we don't give a rat's ### what Edge thinks. Or what you think Edge thinks.

Interesting thought, but if we don't give a rat's ### what Edge thinks, why did someone start a thread with the line, "Can't think Edge is too happy today with no TDs while Shipp gets 3?"

What does everyone think? Was Shipp a 1 week wonder? I think so. I don't think this is a Jacobs/Tiki like situation. Any homer insight out there.

Edge for some reason doesnt like GL carries. I watched repeatedly as he'd pull himself out of those situations in Indy and apparently he's going to repeat it now in AZ.

I think James has taken a beating all season long in the Desert. No holes, hit behind the line a lot, no room to run, not catching many balls in space. I like this move for now as an Edge owner in a dynasty league. He's on my bench behind Gore, KJ, and Addai. I hope he saves him self some goal line beating and comes back next season ready to go. I just hope the new coaching staff realizes the game is won and lost at the line of scrimmage. Those great WR's and RB can't do much if those tubs on the line can't keep my sister out of the backfield. If this team goes out and snags a FA lineman and grabs a couple road graders in the draft I see Edge having a very productive year next year in terms of both the NFL and FFB.
