Homeland (4 Viewers)

The plot of this show is usually acceptable, but the details are so ####### flawed. Hundreds of mistakes in the Islamabad scenes, oof.

I'm Carry, I need to see the Ambassador!!!!!!!!!

The guy picking up the fattie just made this season interesting!
No one's ever fought for me before.

:lipstick:
I liked when he started to come down hard on her in hopes of her bailing on him. Nope. She wasn't having it.

Whoever that girl in the video is she's a lucky girl.
Oh man, we have the potential here for a level of clinger here man has never seen before.

Can't wait for the upcoming shot of her waking up next to him in his room out of nowhere within the CIA secured area in Islamabad. Love knows no bounds!

Just caught up on this season.

Maybe this is just a psychological thing for Carrie starting with Brody, anyone that she takes in to help further her cause, she lets shtup her? Can't see any other reason to work that in for her in the storyline, other than to remind us that she's off the reservation.
She'll do literally anything to accomplish for her work. Carrie is what she is - a sociopath.

My biggest problem with the show this season is Peter being in love with her. He's a ####ed up dude, but even a ####ed dude wouldn't want anything to do with her. Well played by the writers to have him hook up with the fattie in order to make Carrie look halfway reasonable.

lmfao i thought you were talking about Saul getting kidnapped.Anyway, ive enjoyed this season alot more than last season and a half. Nothing groundbreaking but some solid stuff sp far. Except for the whole sleeping with the kid angle. Thats just dumb.

The last few weeks I've found all the scenes without Carrie to be very compelling.

Unfortunately Carrie is the star of the show.

exactly. Its just that they made her so freaking unlikable. Even my wife who never criticizes anyone on tv despises her.

How did they make Saul in the airport? Dude should have got on his plane and been home before dinner.

Carrie is awesome. Haters gonna hate.

Needs more Dana.

They knew he was supposed to leave per the female ISI agent's discussion with guy Saul met with. They let him see ISI agent as bait, wala.

Saul getting nabbed in the airport is f'ing terrible. I realize he's not exactly a field operative, but he was THE FORMER DIRECTOR OF THE CIA and he's gawking at a guy in an airport? Come on.

Caught up.

My goodness is Carrie just awful. Can't stand her at all.

Hoping the bad guys that are working over the Ambassador's hubby have him put a cyanide pill in with her meds.

Pretty sure no one likes Carrie.

Not sure how the writers could eff something up so badly.
Most popular shows nowadays have a main star that is partially bad. Like the bad guy you love to root for. That seems to be a common denominator on alot of successful TV shows now. Don Draper, Tony Soprano, Walter White, Nucky Thompson, Raymond Reddington, Dexter Morgan, etc etc

I THINK the writers were going in that same direction with Carrie. Perhaps they wanted to make her the first FEMALE TV star that everyone loves to hate. The problem is they gave her NO redeeming qualities whatsoever. The other ones I listed above had redeeming qualities. Tony & Walter were family men, Don had a rough past but was a good father, Nucky was very giving to those loyal to him, Raymond helped catch bad guys and has a heart, Dexter killed bad guys. Carrie has NONE. She is not loyal to her friends, she wants to drown her baby, she is a lunatic. Her only possible redeeming quality is her love for the country but most people arent sympathetic towards that angle.

:goodposting: Add to all of that Claire Danes shoddy acting and it is a disaster.

Recently got Showtime again, and want to catch up on this show...last season I saw season 2. Is 3 worth watching, or should I skip to season 4?

Loved season one...season 2, not so much.

She's been terrible since Day One.
Right but she's gotten worse, and they've not added a single redeeming quality about her.

Couple that with the fact she is one of the worst actors on the show, if not THE worst and you have an epic failure.

I'm not sure why I still watch to be honest. I imagine it to be akin to rubbernecking a bad car accident.

I was going to say the whole trying to catch the bad guys thing could be hers.

Except it did get him to talk. And she's obviously not enjoying, so I'm not minding it as much.

I'm liking this season. The Saul thing was way ridiculous though. I like the ambassador and her husband angle as well.

Damn good episode until they ruined it at the end. Carrie needing retribution for the murder of her 12-year-old lover, to the point where she would obliterate Saul? Okay...

She didn't even like him. Was ready to take him out if they had to. She's just ####in nuts.

Agree. There are 20 other ways they could have written in Carrie wants revenge for the boy being killed. But to light up Saul, the Ex Director of the CIA is just poor writing.
