Homeland (1 Viewer)

How is this the same ####### show I've been watching the last few weeks? I just finished it and I'm just in shock at how bad that was.

Best part was definitely Lockhart showing up with a tray of lasagna. WTF

:lmao:

That ruled so hard. Then he asked for a beer. Then settled for some sort of fancy whiskey. So clunky.

Thank god I didn't have to sit through that without fast forward. That had to be up their in bad finales. What we got of out it is that the CIA appears good with dealing with a mass murderer who just master-minded the killing of 40+ American CIA/counsel operatives just to get Saul back into the CIA. Taking him off of the country's hit list sounds totally plausable. :bs:

But, at least we got to meet up with Carrie's mother and her 25 year old (I mean 15 y.o.) brother. What in the world were they thinking with that whole story line. You don't need filler in a finale FFS.

Who is the greater fool. The writers who throw this trash out or people like me who keep coming back to it. I vote the later.

Like someone else said, I almost feel obligated to watch, just on the off-chance that it gets good again. It just hasn't happened, at least not for more than one episode or so. It's like starting Pierre Garcon this year.... You can only tune in for so long, telling yourself that this will be the week, before you just have to look for other options.
I called to cancel Showtime this morning already. Not that the previous episodes were much, but I was hoping it would turn the corner.

Horrible finale. I felt like I was watching something on Lifetime.
Wait, what? You cancelled with Shameless coming back soon which (likely) means more Fiona sans clothes???

One thing that wasn't answered, is why does the SD card that Adal had of the interrogation with Saul and Haqqani incriminate Lockhart? To where he'd need to step down?

I didn't recall a meeting that took place.
I don't think it had anything to do with Lockhart. I think it was all Saul.

"She walked out on us. What kind of person does that?"

"Well . . . you."

:groan:
Exactly. Not to mention there is zero reason to introduce the mom. For some reason the writers are still trying to insist that Carrie's f'ed up personal life is interesting and vital. It's the worst part of the show.

By far the worst season finale of any show I have watched. It was boring and pointless.

They should have continued with Quinn's rogue mission and carried that storyline to the next season.

It's Saul. So we don't know exactly what's on the SD card? I thought i maybe dozed off during that scene earlier in the season and missed something important. Saul was obviously videotaped but I don't remember anything incriminating.

nothing incriminating. Just embarrassing and hed never be able to get his CIA job again if it leaked.

John McCain was tortured 10x worse and was almost President. Doesn't make sense that being tortured (and not giving in) would disqualify someone.

Was McCain filmed when it happened? Being filmed doing a silly laugh totally derailed Howard Dean as a presidential candidate.

nothing this show does makes sense.

Just watched the finale last night. I hate to nitpick but let me get this straight:

1) They had a deal to trade Al Qaeda prisoners in exchange for Saul and immediately afterwards Haqqani attacks the American motorcade to the embassy.

2) Then he attacked the embassy, kills 30+ Americans, and promises Lockhart that if he gives him the book of agents no one else will be hurt. So of course Lockhart trusts him, hands over the book and Haqqani promptly slits Farra's throat and likely would have killed them all if Quinn hadn't opened fire and saved them.

So now Carrie spots Dar Adal with Haqqani in Pakistan and she tells Saul not to trust him. Now Dar Adal hands over the SD card and tells Saul that Haqqani promises it is the only copy and Saul believes him? Really?

I did enjoy season 4 (with the exception of the finale) but they made the Taliban look brilliant while the CIA were complete idiots through the whole season. I sure hope the CIA is not this stupid in real life.

One other note: I think Carrie's mother was introduced because the actor that played her father (James Rebhorn) passed away.

I expect that next season will involve Carrie fighting Saul for a few episodes until they join forces to locate and rescue Quinn. It also wouldn't surprise me if Carrie's baby is kidnapped at some point.

Just finished binge watching the last 2 seasons.

I liked this last season and especially the last couple of episodes until the finale. Wow was the finale a let down for me.

And whoa is that an ugly baby.

I still can't fn believe they actually aired that finale. Putting it in context, I'm not against saying worst episode in tv history.

Finally...finally sat down to watch this show. I am binge watching season one and I am on episode 5.

Al l can say is....wow. I am hooked big time. Claire Danes is incredible in this role. Love the show. Look forward to seasons 2 and 3 as well. Then on to 4. Should be done in the next 4 weeks.

Ever since I upgraded to Xfinity X1 I have been getting caught up on all HBO and Showtime shows I have missed for like the last decade LOL. All I had were AMC, FX and TNT shows to hold me over for a while.

Ok so tell me....which season does it "jump the shark".

I watched all 9 seasons of 24 and although it became same old after season 6 it was still...."Jack Baur".

I prefer to let you make your own determination about that. I don't want to spoil anything.

I loved the first season

Liked the first half of season 2

Didn't like season 3

Never watched season 4, and don't expect to ever watch it.

Fair enough. I will report back this weekend on season 1

So we finished season 1 and we loved it.

We are 2/3 through season 2 and are on the episode

where Carrie is kidnapped
So far we like season 2 as much as season one. But I can see where this may be going.....or not. I hope Season 2 ends with a bang.

Speaking of bang....there is a lot of banging in the show LOL.

It's nothing like 24. It's started out as one of my all time favorite shows and crashed and burned at a rate that I've never seen in my lifetime. I was warned in here but didn't listen.
