Got around a 600 player out of 4775 max entry in the $25 rotogrinder NBA and one single entry, went with

Wish I had more money in play yesterday. Despite Lopez and Hayward only giving me a 2x return I scored 302.4. That was enough to get top 5 in both 50/50s and cash $3 in gpp. $5 in $10.20 out.

Taking the night off other than the free roll as I don't like the big slates.

Haven't done my LUs yet but I know I will do several stacking the Houst/Bost, GS/Char and LAL/Port games.

Below I will list my top 5 at each position

PG- Dragic, IThomas, Holiday, Conely and Delladenova

SG- N Powell, Waiters, Batum, Harden and Kilpatrick

SF- TRoss, RCov, MKG, Butler and Crowder

PF- (Assuming Brow doesn't play) TJones, Noel, Saric, Zebo and JParker

C-Zaza, MPlumlee, Horford, Cousins and Monroe

What a frustrating night, 5 LUs of 320+ and 7 LUs of 310+ and yet

$42 in $28 out with LUs scoring 352 and 343 cashing minimal

 
I totally hosed myself by switching off of Horford/Plumlee and Noel for Hawes and Jabari. Managed to rake my doubles and 50/50's w/ 316.9, but making that switch cost me all my triples and a few min-cashes in my 100-man leagues.

1 unit in, 1.2 units out on the main slate. On the AS slate, however, I had 0.2 units in (most contests didn't fill [no guarantee contests]) and 2.3 units out w/ 302.8. 1st and 2nd in a couple 100-man leagues plus some 50/50's.

I know. Going to be ugly. I'm rocking Curry, Barnes, and Powell I think. Someone has to play to get to 240 minutes. The real question is what to do w/ Westy. His ppm will be awesome I think. How many minutes does he get tho?

Guys much smarter than me swear that you should play cash on big slates and GPPs on small slates. You know I'm a cash grinder at heart, so I always play cash. But they firmly believe that you should avoid cash on small slates.

I know ATO, I'm having my own personal war with the FF gods and fulfilling my self prophecy.

 
As an aside, I think the Lakers are playing the worst defense in the NBA right now. Mike says the math doesn't support that belief, but we live in a world of "alternative facts" now, so I choose to disagree with objective data. 

Regardless, everyone should take the chance to watch them and judge for yourselves. I told a buddy of mine that they play defense like young guys have sex:  they look good initially, have lots of energy, lots of wasted motion primarily with their arms and legs, and at the end of the day it's over after about 2 moves from their opponent (partner).

I watched the game last night and it was bad and I have no feel whatsoever for what Walton is doing.  JRandle has a nice half and then doesn't see the court again till mid 4th quarter.  For the entire 3rd quarter the Lakers offense was, give it to Sweet Lou and let him shoot.
