Hot takes (no sports or politics) (5 Viewers)

Primus is the worst mainstream rock music by far.
Primus is mainstream?

A series of Luke warm takes:

Buying a new vehicle can be a prudent financial decision - if you drive it until it dies while maintaining it.

Swimming is the superior exercise for managing weight, building strength, and destroying your hair.

Many guys look better bald. Generally it helps to be in shape.

Adult children living at home is completely fine so long as they have a plan for life and are contributing to society and the house in some way, not necessarily financial.

My hot take is that people love hot takes. As much as people ***** and complain about the the Steven A. Smith's in any field, we as a people crave the the stupidity and absurdity of them. That is why they get all the attention and make all the money while the person with reasonable, and well though out reasonable takes gets glossed over and falls into the background.
My hot take is that this is because most people are stupid or lazy and thus incapable of well thought out, reasonable takes.

My hot take isn't that AI will or won't take over the human race, it's that it should take over the human race based on what we've shown the universe so far in terms of what type of species we are.

Also, Kurt Russell is the greatest American actor, alive or dead. Take that Tango!

Teslas are ugly and are basically the electric equivalent of a Toyota Corolla. They're not cool at all, and nobody is impressed because someone owns one anymore.

Pulp Fiction is a horrible movie...honestly most Tarantino films are IMO.

Lastly, I'm 110% in the camp that IPA's taste like garbage and a significant amount of people who drink them do it because they want to be beer snobs but they actually think they taste like crap too.

Agreed. I have never understood the lease idea. I don't want a car payment and a lease ensures that I have one forever.
x2 here. Never leased a car in my life. With the exception of my first car, I've bought all my vehicles new and outright and kept all of them for at least 100,000+ miles doing most of the maintenance myself.

Purchasing a lightly used vehicle, and driving until the wheels fall off is the way to go.
We’ve done that a few times, but buying new, knowing that it’s been taken care of well, and driving it for 10-15 years works well. Plus, you can get exactly what you want when you buy new.

I leased once, in college. I was ROTC and thought there was a fair chance I’d go overseas in my first assignment. A Ford Ranger at $99 / month was a decent deal.

Vegetables are better on pizza than meat, but the traditional “veggie” toppings - bell peppers, mushrooms, and olives, are all terrible.
I’d agree but I like peppers on it. Bell peppers, banana peppers and onions is awesome
I like onions on a pizza, the last few I bought they were one of the toppings.
Onions, garlic, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke, broccoli, even corn, are all great options. Pretty much any vegetable other than the junk we’ve come to accept as the norm.

My hot take is that pizza is better with a max of three toppings. When there are more toppings than that it just becomes too much from a taste standpoint as well as from a toppings falling off every time you try and take a bite.

Favorite is Pepperoni, Pineapple, and Jalapeno.

I'm still partial to pepperoni myself, but arugula is another less common one that works really well on pizza.

Financially, I agree 100% here. My challenge is I'm a "car guy" and am very picky with what I want in terms of features and colors, so I usually end up going new simply so I can spec what I get. I think every car I've had has been a custom order. I personally struggle with lightly used availability vs. "what I want."
