Not to that same level no. I do think they are a good defense for this season though. They have a new coordinator and seem to have the ability to put a lot of pressure on QB's. Their division is complete garbage without Peyton Manning (5 games total there), plus they also have games against Cleveland and Miami.
So I don't think they are a start every week level defense, but a good part of a committee.
They played a team that just lost their General, one of the greatest Qb's we've seen in the last 20 years. With that said, I had Houston as one of my sleepers for the season, as the addition of Wade Phillips as D Coordinator was a big boost, he's actually a quality defensive coach. So heading into a game like this, the writing was kind of on the wall, at least potentially.
Houston is a team to certainly play as a Defense by committee.
