How can you not win with Tomlinson? (1 Viewer)

I'm sure most LT owners are enjoying a great run with the ridiculous numbers he's been putting up, yet the LT owner in my league is stuck in some bizarro FF world.

First 5 weeks of the season he was 4-1, averaging around 81 pts/game.

Since week 6, when LT started to light it up, he has gone 1-5, averaging around 109 pts/game.

League average is around 90 pts/game.

His typical starting lineup is usually:

Brady

Tomlinson

Addai

A Johnson

Coles

Chambers/Muhammed

Elam

Carolina

If that weren't bad enough he scored 159pts this week and lost to the team that scored high points at 165.

Anyone else own LT and going through a stretch like this?

Up until two weeks ago, I had been undefeated. Then, I played the Javon Walker owner week 9 with his explosion, neutralizing LT2's big game..

Then, week 10, ran into the CJ BuzzSaw, while having Portis go down...

for my second loss of the season..

Today, However, LT2 carried me despite Moss and Reyner both laying eggs...

LT2 is most certainly fantasy MVP this season

I have LT.

After this week, I am going to be 4-7. However, I am also going to be the point leader of the league, which I have been for almost 5 weeks now. I've lost 3 of the last 4 games to the teams in 12th, 11th, and 9th, who have all had they're best weeks of the season.

I have 1296 points for, 1305 points against.

I have Brady and LT, could beat any team in the league - except for the one I played. AGAIN this week!

This week the other owner had LJ, Jamal, Willie Parker, and Ocho Cinco.

In one league, I started off 1-5-1, and that's WITH Tomlinson. Oh, and the rest of my team sucks? Try having Bulger (who was blowing up himself prior to the last few weeks), Steve Smith (was out the first couple of weeks), Chad Johnson (was non-existent until the last few weeks), Shockey (inconsistent), and some others.

THANKFULLY, I have been able to turn it around, and will move up to 5-5-1 after this week. Those first games were just painful. Despite having LT, I was throwing up a lot of points, but it seemed like every week I was playing against the top scorer for the week.

just show how much luck or in his case bad luck is in FFI have LT and have scored the most points in my league. But I have had the least points scored against me. That helps as well. this week(week 11) I played the hottest team in the league(averaging 127 points per game over the last 4 weeks). He only scored 67 points this week.

In my 12 team redraft league, the LT2 owner (also owns Colston, Gates & Rivers) will win week 11 to go 5-6.... Dude has just had bad luck w/ H2H matchups. From a team management POV, IMO, he's too heavily loaded w/ Chargers, but to each his own...

in 2 different money leagues:- I lost last week with Chad Johnson (benched Palmer for Kitna :dammit- I lost this week with Chad Johnson AND C Palmer- I lost this week with LT2 other players certainly played a role my losing efforts (for good or bad): Lee Evans, Miami Defense, Marc Bulger, M Colston, K Jones, etc... but the fact is, I lost with what should have been the "cheat codes" for fantasy football.sometimes I hate this game.

I am an LT owner and have gone 1-4 over the last 5 weeks in an ultra competitve 12 team league.

I have averaged ~ 150 pts per week over this stretch. I still have a shot at the last wild card spot which is based on total points and still have a chance to win my division as I'm 5-6 and the leader is 6-5.

We start 10 players in this league, use the Super Flex and Team Defense/ST can score significant point totals as well, so it takes a lot more than riding 1 stud RB to victory each week.

All things considered I prefer this type of league to your basic league in which 1 stud RB usually brings home the bacon.

I find it extremely annoying to put so much effort into fantasy football, only to not get a top 3 pick in any of my leagues and never have a chance at owning LT.

The LT owner is 1st place in 2 of my 3 leagues, with a decent team surrounding him. Seems like depth is not awarded enough sometimes!

In 2 of my leagues the LT owner is total pts leader but barely in playoffs. I have LT and and am 5-6 but lead in pts (bad luck H2H early on). In another league I drafted SA over LT (because I already had LT in the previously mentioned league - idiot) and have 2 game lead over LT owner who is pts leader. ANd if Burress goes for 11 tonight that owner will lose this week. 3rd league LT owner is 6-5.

I'm undefeated, and have the point high by more than 200 points. I clinched a play off berth and the first round bye in our playoffs, so I only have to play one game to make it to the championship. Will probably win again this week, but only because LT had another 4 TD game. My opponent still has Tiki tonight though, but is far enough behind that Tiki could have a 100 yard 2 TD performance and still not win it for him.

Sadly though, I'm not sure how well I'll fair in my first play off game. I don't mind LT getting those 4TD games, but to expect him to do it every week (even though he has scored 3 or more the last 5 weeks straight) is a bit on the wishful side.

The guy is a phenom when he is 100% healthy. I'm just hoping (and knocking on wood very hard) that the dirty Raiders don't give him a knuckle grinder like they did last year.

I'm an LT2 owner in 2 different scoring systems.....both keepers thou.

1st team with LT2, Brees, SSmith, THolt, RWayne, Caddy and Shockey as my starters.........started off with a nice fat 0-5 record. LT wasn't helping much, no Smith for 2 weeks, Caddy was AWOL, Shockey - hell who knows, Holt & Wayne were there, but not much. When I did score good, I would get outscored by 5-15pts. But since Week 6, I've run off 6 straight wins (including Week 11 with a route) and now hold the league scoring title. I went from the basement to 3rd place in 6 weeks. GO LT2!

2nd team with Brady, LT2, Gore, Ronnie B, Fitz, TJ Housh, Glenn, Watson as my main players........this team is now 9-2 after this weekend. LT2 is the straw that stirs this team along with Gore and TJ Housh. This team was rolling last season until the latter part of the year when LT couldn't find the endzone and lost in the playoffs due to his disappearance.........but without him, I'd never had made the playoffs. Hopefully this season will have a different ending.

And speaking of LT.............I played against him in my $$$ league in Week 10. I survived the thrashing by putting Ocho Cinco against him. Our scoring system benefits the longer TDs with more PTS. They offset each other by scoring 32 apiece.

But to say I wasn't worried about playing against him would be lie........I was scared chitless!

The Tomlinson owner in my league just lost #3 McNabb for the year and #10Farve for who knows the same week.... His only qb's now are #15 Steve McNair and #26 Vince Young. (# is how they rank in our league)

well - if you had him that long, you didn't lose in the playoffs b/c of LT.last year, he hurt you - but he has always been a MONSTER weeks 13-16.You need to look elsewhere than LT for why you chunder in the playoffs.
