How do they determine the 2012 draft order (1 Viewer)

From what I can tell, looking back on previous work stoppages, the entire season will most likely not be canceled..

Very good question though...

That would be my guess. Theyd weight balls like the nba giving the worse teams the year before a better chance at top picks but not an absolute order.

Wouldn't believe it unless I knew it was true.
Really? So then why wouldn't they have gotten the first pick the draft before, when they had a legitimate claim to the #1? If the league was going to fix things they could have given them Ovechkin and Crosby.

Might have happened in Wash. I think the caps would have had the first pick if by record.... might be wrong tho....

Because the lockout was approaching and they were trying to figure out if the Penguins were worth saving.

I would assume that there is no official rule on this. Assuming the season were wiped out, the details of the 2012 draft would probably be decided on in the new CBA.

2012 NFL Auction
An auction would be awesome... But you'd have to assume there would be some pretty big blunders.. The draft, as it is, is pretty tough but compound the ability to overpay and take yourself out of the rest of the draft...
