I don't have any personal connection but I feel really bad for her.   Not a great idea on her part but no one deserves jail time for what she did and certainly not in Russia where it could go on for years.   Really terrible timing for this one.

Bad judgement but we've all made mistakes, do we have anything to offer to get her back?

what would it take for someone locked up here for drugs from another country to get released and sent home? i mean, what would take for someone from a state where weed is legal to get released from a state where weed is illegal?

So unbelievably dumb on her part. I feel for her, but come on!  Timing couldn’t be worse.  She will probably go to prison.

I agree its more likely than not that she did this and the stuff was not planted but we don't know this for sure. That said, either way she is an unfortunate pawn in a much bigger game with a bad outcome likely, IMO.
