I'm sorry, but what the hell is the guy supposed to say? I'm a Pack fan but I think the guy takes too much abuse for his attitude. He just doesn't seem to want to deal with stupid questions.

Chris Johnson was the #4 RB drafted. "Heard some talk out of the Bears: Packers secondary not working coverage, bigger receivers ... we heard about it," Woodson told ESPN's Rachel Nichols after the game. "We understand that Jay is excited about his new weapons, but it's the same-old Jay. We don't need luck; Jay will throw us the ball."

His response to "how do you think you played tonight?" was "there was some good, some bad".Whoever asked and didn't follow up with "Thanks Jay, which play did the 'good' occur on?" should be fired. His one response to the really dumb question was funny. This response was just ridiculous. Mind you, "how did you play?" is also a dumb question, but I have no idea how Cutler comes out with any response other than, "well, I played like crap".'The Westin said:Post Game Press Conference with Cutler was classic:Reporter: After last weeks performance, was there any scenario in your head that played out like this one tonight?Cutler: Ya, I dream about getting sacked 7 times and throwing 4 picksI'm sorry, but what the hell is the guy supposed to say? It was for different reasons, but last night gave me flashbacks to CAR on Sunday. The horrible play calling felt similar. Apparently, Chudzinski and Tice don't like shorter routes over the middle of the field. The games played out differently, but they were equally frustrating for the fans. A lot of throwing off the back foot down the sidelines to well-covered WRs.Honestly, I'm starting to get a little worried that last night foreshadowed the future for CAR fans, if they don't get a better coaching staff very soon.while it is true that Jay's protection stinks and his receivers aren't pulling their weight, he needs to make quicker decisions, and better decisions. If he knows he's not going to get a ton of time, why does he take 5 seconds to find an open man? Just throw it, dude. Alot of these interceptions came when Cutler was throwing very late.
Charles Woodson tweaks Jay Cutler

awesomeNever gonna happen.'Donnybrook said:I can see this performance and the fan/media reaction to it start to snowball on Cutler. Jason Campbell could be starting before we know it.
As a Bears fan, Cutler can be terribly frustrating. But he is still clearly the best QB that the Bears have had in my lifetime (and yes, that includes McMahon who was not a better QB in my eyes). That is clearly not saying much, but he is at least a guy who can potentially carry the team. As was shown last night, he is also a guy who can sink the team.Been a horrible start across the board for a lot of QBs this year. The INTs are off the charts. How many 3 - 4 INT performances did we have in week 1? And Cutler starts us off in week 2 with 4 more. Help me figure this out...they tweak the penalties to favor the QBs and WRs yet we are seeing more INTs seems like. Is the performance level decreasing or are defenses getting that much better?
If I were a Bears fan, I would be sick of Cutler. He thinks he is so great, but he makes some of the stupidest decisions. Throw the ball away or scramble. Instead, he stands there as if his feet are rooted, staring down a receiver.
With that said, their O-line sucks, Brandon Marshall should be fired on the spot for dropping another TD, Forte will be out 4 weeks, WHY IS HESTER STILL PLAYING WR?!?! Oh! And Cutler stinks.![]()
Wondering if the bears would rather have a "game manager" Trent Dilfer/Alex Smith type at QB that can move the ball and make the smarter, safer moves/throws so not to put his team in a bad situation. By taking all those sacks and throwing those interceptions in a game they had a chance in he almost single handedly (and their left tackle) lost that game for them. The defense did a decent job playing a high powered offense on their home turf and holding them to 23 points...7 of which came from a fluky, trick play on special teams. Briggs and Urlacher should be knee deep in Cutlers rear end.*eta*As a Bears fan, Cutler can be terribly frustrating. I don't think a game manager would have done a better job at avoiding some of those sacks. What was puzzling to me was why they didn't call for some screens early in the game to slow down the pass rush. Forte (he wasn't hurt till the second half) is a beast out of the backfield, and you could have easily gotten Marshall involved early on with a WR screen or two that he could easily turn into a nice gainer. Cutler made some really poor decisions, but his WRs and the play-calling didn't do him a lot of favors either. All in all, a really bad night for the Bears offense, as usual vs GB.
I am not a fan of Cutler at all, but thought the play calling was terrible. And no noticeable adjustments. Should have used screens, and/or other quick passes like slants to the outside WRs to get the ball out of his hands quicker.Just chiming in on "how I feel" about Cutler now.
I think that a leader leads by example. A leader in professional football is over the last play as soon as it happens, good or bad. It is always about the next play. Always.
I understand him being frustrated because he was essentially being beaten up by Clay Matthews. Like living Matthew's Bighead commercial only he doesn't go away when other people are there.
But I can't imagine Favre yelling at his O Line (embarrassing his O-Line) on National TV. Or Montana. Or Brady. Or any other winning QB. It just doesn't make someone want to go to hell and back for you.
Like Rodgers yelled at Jones viscerally for running the wrong route and causing him to throw a pick?Just chiming in on "how I feel" about Cutler now.I think that a leader leads by example. I hate defending Cutler in any way (I don't think he's a leader at all) but lots of QBs do that. Brady gets fired up and yells at people screwing up as well. As intense of a competitor as Montana was I would be shocked if there isn't footage out there of him barking at people when something went wrong. There are million reasons to hate Jay Cutler as a QB.Yelling at his OL shouldn't be one of them.

The difference between Cutler and other QB's around the league is that the other QB's get positive results from trying to inspire their team mates. All Cutler gets is more sacks and INT's, almost as if the players purposly want Sulky McSulkface to get hit more. Cutler isn't a leader as he doesn't lead by example. His attitude in last years playoff game where he sat on the bench and sulked because he was out of the game demonstrated that. Cutler's body language and demeanor are the visual cues of his lack of ability to lead. Leaders inspire, they don't sulk.I genuinely feel that when Cutler yells at his team mates he is trying to motivate through tearing down. That doesn't work in most circumstances.Yet, when Cutler, with his aloof attitude does it, he is labelled as a whiner.
I'm starting to wonder how much of these issues should fall on Cutler.I'm not saying that they should, but it might have to do with why he isn't close to an elite QB.I see Brady yelling at players and teammates all the time, and he is called " a Fiery Leader." The Manning/Jeff Saturday sideline argument is vintage delineating Manning as a Leader.
Yet, when Cutler, with his aloof attitude does it, he is labelled as a whiner. This is where talent comes into play.
Get the guy on some rollouts, get him out of the pocket, that's playcalling 101.
Go back and watch Cutler in Denver. Shanahan did it with him, hell, Shanahan took a very average Jake Plummer, to an All pro season, just by getting him out of the pocket. Cutler had success, he has a strong ### arm.
He's got a tremendous arm, but his pocket presence is subpar to "leaders Like manning and Brady." That's obvious, so why can't Tice give Cutler some protection by not exposing him in the pocket. It's a broken record....every year, and seemingly every week.
I think Cutler shows a " I don't give an F" attitude sometimes too. That plays well with the media, who like America, finds an easy target, and tears em down. Give the guy some playcalling protection since he has no O-Line protection....
Part of what lets Alex Smith be a "game manager" type is a strong running game, a great defense, and an o-line that can usually give him enough time to find the open wr and make a throw. The Bears do not have these things.Wondering if the bears would rather have a "game manager" Trent Dilfer/Alex Smith type at QB that can move the ball and make the smarter, safer moves/throws so not to put his team in a bad situation. I should also mention that the WRs didn't help much either. They dropped several opportunities.

I was actually referring to Aaron Rodgers in this instance. Its a good thing people didn't spend a lot and draft Cutler. FYP.Have you seen Jamarcus Webb block? If he tried to flatten Cutler, he'd probably whiff or trip or jump backwards before he intended to. Webb might be the worst LT in the NFL right now - and is the primary reason Cutler takes as many hits/sacks as he does. But, he makes up for his poor play by committing stupid penalties. If I was part of "J.Webb Nation" I'd defect...to Anarctica.that lineman should have flatened cutler
maybe part of the problem is the bear's oline is a bunch of kittens who let qbs OPPONENTS push them around
Abbatacola: Jay Cutler Is A Bad Leader – Get Over It
Jay Cutler isn’t going to stand in the middle of the Bears’ locker room and give a Knute Rockne inspired speech at halftime.
He won’t put his arm around an offensive lineman after a sack and share some encouraging words.
He’ll never help a backup QB get better at his craft.
Cutler doesn’t stand in front of the cameras and take blame for a poor performance.
Last time I checked, he isn’t paid for that. He’s paid to be the Bears quarterback. He’s paid to play one of the most difficult positions in sports and play it at a high level. Sometimes, he doesn’t. For the most part, he has.
Jay Cutler is the best quarterback to ever wear a Bears uniform.
The Bears also have the most-talented wide receiver in their history on this roster, as well as the third most accomplished running back from the line of scrimmage lining up behind Cutler on a regular basis.
What they don’t have nor have they ever had in front of Jay Cutler is an offensive line that can dominate a defensive line. They have never had an offensive tackle during Cutler’s era that strikes fear or causes concern for a defensive coordinator.
Take a gander at this list: Orlando Pace (age 34), Chris Williams, Frank Omiyale, J’Marcus Webb, Lance Louis, and Gabe Carimi.
Pass rushers in the NFL circle the Bears game on their season schedule in anticipation of getting after Jay Cutler.
In Cutler’s final season in Denver, he was sacked 11 times in 16 games. Green Bay sacked the QB seven times last night. In 2010, Cutler went down 52 times. He has been sacked 119 times in 43 games with the Bears.
Peyton Manning was sacked 123 times in his final 128 games with the Colts.
Tom Brady was sacked 73 times in 48 games from 2009-11. Drew Brees went down 69 times during the same span. Joe Flacco – 107 and Matt Ryan – 48.
Cutler is an athlete. We’re not talking about a Dan Marino-type immobile quarterback, planted in the pocket.
Marino was sacked 52 times in his final 43 games with the Dolphins. He was in his late thirties. Wait a second, Cutler did that in 2010 at the age of 27. Oh, I told you that already.
The bottom line is this. The Bears need to get better players on their offensive line before they waste Cutler’s entire era in Chicago.
Jay Cutler will do his job. Let’s get an offensive line that can do theirs.
The strategy has been to try and get the most out of lesser talent and hope it works out.
That’s one way to go I guess.
your allowed to yell at stupid, specifically webb.I've heard Aaron Rogers say in interviews that he'll yell at his teammates for mental mistakes like breaking routes or pre-snap stuff but not when they are just getting beat by a better player. That seems like a professional approach to leadership. What is the point of berating a teamate during the game who is simply getting beat physically by a superior player? This is especially true when Cutler was the one calling out the opposing DBs before the game then throwing 4 picks.
I don't study the Bears all year, so help me understand something. If Webb is indeed as awful as everyone says he is, and Chicago can't find a competent replacement, how do you not just play 10-on-11 the entire game and keep a TE in to help him? It seems like Cutler + time to throw is better than Cutler + no time to throw, even though you'll be at a numbers disadvantage in the secondary.
Ask Mike ####### Tice. Or Mike "I don't MAKE adjustments" Tice. Or Mike "This is our gameplan - it worked LAST week" Tice.
