He's a better passer than McMahon can even dream of. Cutler has a better arm and better escapability. McMahon was an excellent leader, don't get me wrong. I absolutely loved Jim McMahon - but Cutler is a much better QB.
Honestly, if you had heard the interview live (which I did) - he was pretty much saying "Sure, I'll skip an OTA or two to make a point, but there is no way I'm holding out or doing anything that is long term detrimental to the team." He basically said there is no way he would hold out - or miss significant time. Kinda the opposite of what the original quoter was trying to imply.
