Do you gamble on two injury prone guys like Mathews or McFadden, or take a safer pick like Jimmy Graham or even Julio Jones and go for someone like Murray or Bradshaw as your #1 RB and draft RBs later?
Yeah I am picking 8 in 2 leagues and 7th in another. I was expecting to get Mcfadden, CJ2K or Calvin if lucky. Looks like Mcfadden is my only option of those.
I have the 8 pick in a redraft and I was hoping Matthews would fall to me. Now, I don't know what I'm doing since everybody at this spot has question marks. I won't go qb since I like to draft them late so confused right now.
I'm at pick 12. If he falls to me, I'll take him. He did well for me last year, but I had to make sure I had a Sproles for backup. He produced great numbers when he was on the field. The only gripe I had last year was he would run all the way down the field, then ask Tolbert to come in for the goal line. I'm expecting different results this year, but wouldn't be surprised if he pulls himself out again.

Missing the first 3 games makes him too high a price for me to take in round 1, unless you're in a league that gives him points each time he waves in Ronnie Brown.
I have the 11th pick in a draft and I've already been thinking about taking Matthews there (assuming he'll be available).
Honestly the league isn't that strong so I'm confident I can cover myself at rb for the first few weeks of the season so even if Matthews misses a month, I think the payoff of having him for the stretch run may be worth it.

I get what your saying, but for us in the 11/12 pick, he surely won't be there the next time around. I'm in the minority on this site as I take a stud QB first round. With the 1.12/2.1, I might be able to swing a Brady/Matthews with my pics. That will be a fine start of a team for me. *Of course that all depends on the first 11 pics..decisions are dynamic.
I'm in a keep two league, so it's a little different for me (and one of my keepers is Lynch), but if he's still there at pick 12, I'm taking him. I'll make sure to reach a round or two early to get a guy like Kevin Smith to fill in the first two weeks (or three if the worst case scenario comes to fruition), but after that, he should be back to normal.
I would. To me Julio's absolute floor (barring injury of course) is 10 TD's. His ceiling is close to Megatron territory. As for the premise of this thread. I'm one of those that will simply not take a QB in the first 2 rounds under any circumstances. That's a topic for another thread but long story short I can't see myself taking Graham in the first 2 rounds either since Gates will be available in the 4th and a guy like Witten or Henrnandez will be there in the 5th.Assuming PPR I'm taking one of the following 3 guys : McFaddenFitzgeraldJulioBased on what I'm seeing in the PPR mocks on FF calculator today (had the day off, did like 4 mocks) it's a 50-50 proposition that Julio makes it back to you in the 2nd round. I'd rather take Julio in the first at #10 overall and still have a chance at either Fitz or maybe even McFadden (or maybe Murray) on the way back. It's unconventional but I'm a big believer in mining RB's late. I simply refuse to take a QB or a 6th or 7th best RB.....I'm a big believer in always taking the most explosive player on the board, which in this case are the WR's and/or you could argue Graham.
