How does your league handle outrageous trades? (1 Viewer)

The question is how fair the trade is and/or whether there's collusion. Which of those two issues are you suggesting is in play here?
Could be either?
I'm asking you what YOU think. You're the one making the suggestion that this trade shouldn't go through. Make your case. All you've said is it's outrageous and posted the trade. Post your reasoning for it being outrageous.
Did you see my post with the RB's he has? Ask yourself if the trade makes sense to you? Maybe like suggested it is just stupidity. I don't think it's collusion. It probably wouldn't be so bad if I haven't seen this kind of deal with these 2 before.
How many rbs do you have to start? Does he have another stud te and can he flex them in? Is he set at a lot of other positions? Is it possible that this is the first in a series of trades? Maybe he is negotiating with the McCoy owner to trade a stud wr for McCoy. Regardless, you don't know the reasons behind his moves, so to flat out claim ' unfair' is uninformed and smacks of whining or jealousy.
Not whining or jealously at all. Since you don't know our league...I'll let you speculate all you want.
You post a crap whiny thread, to which most people respond negatively; I ask a pretty legit question about how your league is set up that might shed light on the reasoning behind this 'terrible' trade and that's your response? Good stuff dum dum
If it is a crap whiny thread then why are you posting in it? What are you 5 years old, dum dum...really???

I should have said #######. I posted in it because I had an opinion regarding the question you asked, but when I asked for clarification on your league's setup you responded like a #####. The fact that you get return yards for instance is atypical to most leagues, yet when someone mentioned Sproles' having a down year you snapped back that you get return yards. Just a tip, if you are looking for responses to a question and your league has non-standard rules/requirements, its best to state those, not respond to inquiries like a petulant child.

Well it happened last night, team A traded Gronk for Team B's Malcom Floyd. This is a deep (43 spot rosters with IDP) dynasty league. Several, okay all that saw it, owners complained about it and the two teams cancelled the trade and are reworking it. We have a rule for voting on a trade league wide if a trade is deemed unfair by the commissioner or an uninvolved owner. We haven't devolved into the #### blocking that can go on with such a rule, thankfully, and I wouldn't play in a dynasty league that doesn't have a rule like this. To much money and time involved to let an idiot or colluder destroy a league. I think it is like a lock on a window, everyone knows they can break in with or with out the lock, but it helps everyone be a little more honest.

we ##### and moan and deal with it.

in a 14 team no TE redraft league someone traded Andre Brown for Pitta, I made fun the the guy who got Pitta and then laughed at him again after the goose egg last night. He is in my division. If the new Andre Brown owner was in my division I would have been more pissed. Not unfair just dumb...of course IMHO :football:

Last year right before the trade deadline someone trade away LT and Gates for Best and Delanie Walker. remember this is redraft and Best had no chance of returning during the regular season Walker was just picked up off waivers and Gates was back playing well. That one pissed me off, I complained loudly and moved on. The new Gates/LT owner did well into the playoffs BTW, i lost week 15 to him with McCoy and Rice both having subpar games. The team receivig Best was already eliminated from the playoffs. Another team all but officially eliminated also trade AP to the team with LT/Gates forSJax and Witten. that wasnt so bad except they were basically out of the playoffs and helping out the other team.

suck it up!! Karma comes around

There is a fine line between stupid and idiotic. Usually colluders can't help but to expose themselves. You have to let people be stupid ecspecially when they might be right. But Idiocy has to be voted on.

Unless collusion is suspected, we let trades go through. I think it would be unfair to penalize two people who want to trade just because the rest of the league doesn't like it. Who cares? If I convince another owner to trade me a player for less than they're worth, then great job by me. Too bad, everyone else.

In my main league a Guy traded David Wilson right before the season started who was getting all the hype at the time for Martellus Bennett who was a waiver wire pickup. I head from more than 1 person (incluing myself) who thought it was just an awful trade for the Wilson owner. Here we sit and Bennett is a top 5 te and Wilson is headed to the waiver wire. Moral of the story: dont intervene unless there is collusion suspected.
:goodposting: This is the only reason any trade should be looked at. Everyone values players differently. So perceived fairness should never come into play.

Not sure which side you think got the better deal, but from your OP it would seem the issue is......the owner getting Foster already has Rice? Did I miss something?Seems like what you outrageous, most folks would call jealousy. An owner improving his team by making a trade is not outrageous. :IBTL: nothing to see here.
+1

Bennet and wilson are two relatively unproven players. That seems an obvious and easy trade to let go.

We used to have a committee of 4 people and we could veto a trade. Not sure what our procedure is now...if we have anything in place. The reason I ask as this trade just went down, Foster/Witten for Graham. The owner getting Foster also has Rice. The person who just traded Foster/Witten took over a team from another long standing owner. He was previously in our league and was notorious for making bad trades. If this was your league would you want this trade vetoed? The thing that pisses me off the most is that same owner said Foster was untouchable last week!!!
i refuse to veto trades as a commish. there is only one rule of trading in our league...no trade backs of the same player.other than that, who am i to intervene with how someone wants to run their team or value their needs.

an early first rd pick for a late first rd pick! thats OUTRAGEOUS!
Poor analogy. And he did get 2 players not 1.
lol no. witten is nearly dropable right now. thats a very fair analogy.you are clearly upset that you were not able to make a trade like that. there is no reason to tell us that he also has rice. thats just you trying to manipulate our answers. if he has a history of making bad trades, why did you let him back into the league?
