How good are the Dolphins? How good is Parcells? They've just beat New England and San Diego, one year after a 1-15 season.

Discuss... :bag:

Also, while we're at it...what about ATL and their rebuilding process.

They weren't that bad last year... lost 6 games by 3 points.

What Parcells does best is rebuild failing football teams (NYG, NE, NYJ, DAL). The fact that he is doing it again with Miami shouldn't be all that shocking.

I think a lot of it has to do with Sparano. Parcells has added some pieces, but Sparano is really preparing them well for games.

I also don't think the Phins have the record they have right now without the addition of Pennington.

The key is knowing what pieces to add and which to remove and having stones to do it. Parcells did this. He didn't bow to the pressure to bring in a bunch of fancy position players. He adressed the core units.

Let me get this right...

In consecutive weeks, Miami has beaten the two teams who competed in the AFC Championship game last year. GET OUTTA HERE!!!! ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDIN' ME? NO WAY!!!!

(I don't care what the reason is... just let me bask in the moment for a little longer.)

Even assuming they had average luck in those games and went 3-3 instead of 0-6... that still only puts them at 4-12. To put it simply, they WERE that bad last year.

impressive....run the ball, play good defense, don't make mistakes... Seems like a formula that has worked for many a superbowl winner

I think a really big part of turning a bad team around is just instilling the right attitude in the team and the locker room. Parcells does that. Even though Parcells is not the head coach, I am certain the team is run with the discipline and work ethic that he would run it.
