I love this discussion because everyone else has been eliminated from the post season.
I actually thought Rodgers played a pretty good game given his situation and the absurd time of possession difference in the 49ers favor. The interception he threw was on a 60-yard pass on third down. I'm 100% sure Rodgers knew it was 3rd down before he threw that ball. Why not try for the long shot when you'd just be punting? Jordy was also open and could have been completed if it had been a little more to the right instead of straight down the field. I liked the shot. Rodgers also completed 66% and had two TDs, albeit one in garbage time. The biggest issue for Rodgers was that they had the ball 1/3rd of the game.If you were to pro-rate his production over the time where he had the ball, I don't think it would be far off what he's done all year... in fact, I did the math. 257/2, with 24 offensive points having the ball 21 minutes is 367/3 and 34 offensive points over having the ball 30 minutes. That's fantastic production! How many other QBs score at that clip? Manning/Brady/Brees. And he did that pace against the 49ers defense. The fact that the defense just could not get off the field prohibited Rodgers from scoring many points. If New England's defense was getting mopped that badly and Brady only had the ball 21 minutes he wouldn't be scoring more than 24 offensive points on the 49ers either. Add to that with less time the defense is on the field, the more rested they are, so those 21 minutes are harder than each minute when the defense plays 30 minutes.I watched the game in an old bar, seeing Rodgers "improvise" those ill-advised shuffle passes and the rest of his decision making looked Favre-ian. Bad Favre, not the 18 months he was Good Favre.
Or you people will realize its a regular season award?I love this discussion because everyone else has been eliminated from the post season.Just wait till you hear all the excuses...- Green Bay had a tougher road- the Pats had it easy with all the AFC opponents choking- Denver got robbed by the officials- Peyton actually only had 2 turnovers. The Pick 6 was actually a good read and a great throw.- Rodgers had a bad DefenseThe real MVP of the NFL, year after year after year, is still playing.

If it is ok he does that why do you respond to him?Because you constantly make ridiculous comments to try and get reactions out of others. Its ok videoguy..its what you do. Embrace it.
Because I enjoy pointing out people like him and ghetto and you stratton...exposing your crap on this board for what it is.Take it how you want...you think you are "getting to me"...or its "easy to f with me"...hilarious how deluded you can be.Now run off and copy this over to your buddies to call me and others here d-bags.Or just try having an actual conversation on this board for once. Til then...no need to take much of what you all say seriously and instead will just mock it (laughing because any post by me will create a response from one of you here...and 2-3 more posts over at :e:...yet you claim I am the fish...hah!!!)If it is ok he does that why do you respond to him?Because you constantly make ridiculous comments to try and get reactions out of others. Its ok videoguy..its what you do. There is an ignore feature for that...if you don't like what I post...use it.But you can try and play innocent that you are not fishing...your history and participation in a topic calling out people from this board as d-bags proves otherwise.I'm not trying to get reactions out of everyone. I'm making points and stating my opinions. In fact, I'd rather hear nothing more from you ever again. All you post are personal attacks, or you accuse others of making personal attacks against you. It's tiresome.

The guy was 2nd in passing TD's with only 8 attempts in a year without his WR1 and WR2 most of the year. No running game, the other team knows he's passing and only 8 ints. He isn't the MVP, but hes certainly top 5.
As someone outside this childish pissing match, it seems pretty clear that you are, and it takes next to no effort to get a bite. You can't help it, but the sooner you realize that you don't HAVE to engage in pointless bickering, the better off the Shark Pool will be.yet you claim I am the fish...hah!!!)

Pointing out the fishing is now biting too huh?Interesting.I post once...they post 5+ times between a few people and 2 boards.Seems they get caught more often than they "catch" anything.I think the pool will be a much better place without people who have admitted to be here for no other reason than to stir the pot and call others d-bags.But I know stratton and videoguy won't agree(thats stinger and sarnoff btw).I will leave it at that in this topic. As someone outside this childish pissing match, it seems pretty clear that you are, and it takes next to no effort to get a bite. Did you not watch the Pats Niners game?? Brady put 28 pts up on that D in 20 minutes, and they were getting beat even worse than the Packers. Granted they lost, but Brady made that game much more closer. Rodgers couldn't even do that against them. Keep trying to come up with excuses though.I actually thought Rodgers played a pretty good game given his situation and the absurd time of possession difference in the 49ers favor. How much did he put up before those 20 minutes? And why were they down so much? (psst...some of it was Brady's poor play that you like to forget to mention).BTW...some of why the Packers defense was on the field so much was because of the poor play of the Packer offense and Rodgers too...so don't think I give him a pass for all of it)Did you not watch the Pats Niners game?? AP carried his team more. And the Patriots would be 2-14 without Tom Brady.I'm as big a Brady fan as I know, but why does Aaron Rodgers suddenly have to be considered Favre-esque in this discussion? Come on... he will never be the turnover machine old man Brett was for years. Aaron Rodgers, statistically, was the MVP this year. If I could give the award out, I'd give it to Brady every season because of my homerism, but Rodgers has been carrying that team on his back.
Dude, you need to watch more football and read more statistics. "Aaron Rodgers, statistically, was the MVP this year"? Care to support that argument with actual stats?I'm as big a Brady fan as I know, but why does Aaron Rodgers suddenly have to be considered Favre-esque in this discussion? I am a Pat homer as much as anyone else but I guess you were in a coma in 2008.AP carried his team more. Give me Brady over Rodgers every time.
I think the high expectations he set work against him to some degree. People aren't surprised by a stellar performance... And the Packers, as a team, finished about where they were expected to finish. A guy like Peterson, who elevates a marginal team to the play-offs, will likely get more consideration. If it were up to me... more "difference maker" than "best player" I consider Peterson, RGIII and even Russell Wilson. It speaks volumes to how amazing his 2011 season was when him going 39-8 TD-INT this year is considered a regression.

Are you kidding me with this garbage? Do you have any idea how good the Seahawks would be with that defense and running game if Rodgers were running the show? This is an insane comment. Look at how good the Broncos have been all year when a top QB takes over a team with a solid defense and good run game. Most people considered them easily the best team in the league going into the playoffs. It's too bad their defense choked against the Ravens but they're still a top team.I think the high expectations he set work against him to some degree.
