How is the parity in your redraft league? (1 Viewer)

This is my 20 year old league, pretty wild we're only 3 games apart from the Top to the Bottom.

Place. W-L (streak)
  1. 7-4 (W2)
  2. 7-4 (L4)
  3. 7-4 (W1)
  4. 6-5 (W4)
  5. 6-5 (L3)
  6. 6-5 (W3)
  7. 6-5 (L1)
  8. 5-6 (W1)
  9. 4-7 (L3)
  10. 4-7 (W2)
  11. 4-7 (L2)
  12. 4-7 (L1)
We are usually like this, guys fight tooth and nail all the way through - even if they're one of the six teams in the consolation bracket.

The never give up ethos is one of my favorite things about the league.

league winner only has 1 loss despite having a pretty MEH team. it's wild.

the rest of us can be in or out of the playoffs with 1 to 2 losses. also wild.

makes it more fun

the one FNG in our league this year started 7-0

he's 7-4 now (2nd)

I started 2-5, finally over.500 lol

Was consistently above average for 6 years and now last place back to back years lol. Whatever edges I had before all the mainstream saturation are now gone. Need to care less and it’ll go better- just like stock portfolios

12 Team league

1st through 4th all at 8-3.
5th at 7-4
6th and 7th at 6-5.

I'm all the way down at 11th at 2-9 after finishing runner up last season. Missing games from Jonathan Taylor, Justin Jefferson, Justin Fields, and Waller has made for a LONG season.

The guy in 12th actually won the league last year.

Hey. I am that new guy that started 7-0 and is now 7-4.

well that's good to know. been meaning to ask how you feel about me sending you my Addison for your Gibbs 5 weeks ago.

;)

Here you go:

  1. 10-1
  2. 7-4
  3. 7.4
  4. 6-5
  5. 6-5
  6. 6-5
  7. 6-5
  8. 5-6
  9. 5-6
  10. 5-6
  11. 4-7
  12. 4-7
  13. 3-8
  14. 3-8

I was in 2nd place this past week. We have position weeks periodically throughout the year evenly spaced to balance the schedule (we don't have playoffs). I was playing the first place team and his team went off. In fact this is the 2nd time we faced the #1 team in the position week. He had two monster weeks and beat us twice. I am one of the 6-5 teams with two losses vs the 10-1 team. In those two games he is averaging over 30 pts more per week than he is in the other 9 games. Ugh.

On the maybe bright side, I get to face him again this week so if I can beat him it is a 2 game swing.

Yeah my two home leagues are super competitive in the standings right now. In one there is only 1 game separating the 1 seed from the 5 seed. In the other there are four of us vying for the 1/2 seeds but the 5/6 seeds are open for everyone else still. I think the 6 seed is sitting at 5-6 right now.

League 1 - we play doubleheaders. I am Spittin' Chiclets and I won two last week to get back into it. 6 make the playoffs so no one has locked up a playoff spot, but the 13-9 teams only have to win 2 more to pretty much guarantee a spot.

League 2 - 8 teams make the playoffs. Only one team is out of it. There are 6 teams fighting for 3 spots. In this league, I am 6-5 in 4th place with a spot virtually locked up (I lead the league in points scored. Had some bad schedule luck to be 6-5)

Insanity, over 11 weeks now, less than 75-100 points separates the top and bottom teams

-We feel injuries have a lot to do with it but someone pointed out the years we endured with the pandemic and having to always be ready for players just scratched on Sundays

big fan of symmetry
  1. 7-5 8-4 W3
  2. 8-4
  3. 7-5
  4. 7-5
  5. 6-6
  6. 6-6
  7. 6-6
  8. 6-6
  9. 5-7
  10. 5-7
  11. 5-7 4-8
  12. 4-8
ETA: one of the matchups got charger'ed up, but the symmetry stays intact

Five likely 8-6 teams fighting for two WC spots (myself, the points leader, included 🙄).

11-1
9-3
(2) 7-5
(3) 6-6
(3) 5-7
3-9
2-10

so i think the team in 10th place can still make the playoffs with two weeks left.

In both of my redrafts we have one clear runaway team (one is 11-1, one is 12-0), followed by 2nd through 6th place all one game apart from each other. The runaway team in both leagues has CMC.

4 team playoffs. Both 7-5 teams have a good chance of losing this week, so the 2-4 slots all could be 7-6 going into the 1st round (2 week playoff matchups)
I'm the top 6-6 team currently 4th with most points scored overall and most points scored against.

Top 2 teams are 10-2 and the highest scoring teams in the league. Spots 3-11 are all still in the running for the playoffs, with only 1 team eliminated.

Long time league. Closest it's been in recent memory. A W for winning your matchup and a W if you score in the top half for the week.

I’ve never seen that scoring methodology before. And it’s really simple and I like it.

Especially as someone who’s in 9th place at 4-8 and has the second most points for in the league.

12 team league

2 teams are 8-4 - and I'm one of them. Yay!
2 teams are 7-5
5 teams are 6-6
1 team 5-7
1 team 4-8
1 team 3-9

2 divisions, each division winner gets a bye in week 15. Then top 4 remaining are wild cards.

4 of the teams that are 6-6 are in my division. All of our remaining games are outside the division, so no possibility of us knocking each other off. If I win one of my next two I clinch. But if I drop the next two could get into messy tie breakers. I'm 3-2 in Division so a lot would depend on who I am tied with. I am underdog in both of the next 2, playing the other 8-4 team this week and one of the 7-5 teams next week. And next week's opponent should get Justin Jefferson back for that one.

It works really well IMO for exactly that reason. Yahoo started allowing it, either this year or last year, not sure about other platforms but so far no complaints.

Our league has been doing this for several years on the RTS platform. It’s a great to even things out over the season. The best teams usually make the playoffs. Rarely have a top 2/3 scoring team miss the playoffs. Actually, I don’t think that has ever happened since changing to this scoring style.

We do the same thing in my redraft league - you play against your opponent as well as the median. So you have two matchups a week.

Definitely mitigates some of the randomness of having a great week, but losing to your opponent who had an even better week. Or vice versa when you have a terrible week but still win because your opponent was worse.

We have lost a few owners and now have only an eight team league and that Amy be more inclined at separation.

1. 10-2
2. 9-3
3. 8-4
4. 7-5
5. 5-7
6. 4-8

Heading into week 13 my redraft is definitely odd. Divisional standings:

7-5
7-5
7-5
6-6

7-5
7-5
7-5
2-10

6-6
6-6
5-7
5-7

Well. I jist lost by .8 to miss the playoffs in a 12 teamer where 8/12 teams have no more than 8 wins, and 3 teams have 5-6. One team has 9.

Higgins & ETN playing. .8

Story of my season

12 team league, and after tonight, 5 of 6 teams are in the playoffs. The last will be decided by a team at 7-6 vs a team at 6-7.

#1 seed 9-4
#2 thru #5 seeds all 8-5
#6 seed 7-6

3 teams just out of the #6 seed all 6-7

one of the tightest groupings of records ever at this point

Last week of the regular season. 8 of 12 make the playoffs. 7-12 are all 5-8 right now. How's that for parity.

12 team league - 6 make the playoffs

9-4 - 1 team
8-5 - 2 teams - I'm one of them and clinched my division - Yay!
7-6 - 3 teams
6-7 - 4 teams
5-8 - 1 team
3-10 - 1 team
