How long did you wait to vote? (1 Viewer)

SHIZNITTTT

Footballguy
Went to the polls today and waited in line for around 2.5 hours.  Gave me a chance to read up on all the local/state issues.  The line was soooooooo long!

We are voting on issues like "The Right to Farm", 6.0 beer, and being able to buy beer in wine in the grocery store instead of a liquor store.   We are so backwards.

That means you need to try and post the thread again.

Will vote in Election Day, early voting not an option here - should take me about 5 min, 3 min of which will be the volunteers not knowing which table my address is under as happens every time I go vote, with another minute dedicated to deciding which free donut I should eat.

Voting in the tony burbs

Took me about 1 1/2 hours in Maryland.  Really long lines.  You'd think in my state folks would be pretty laissez faire about voting but something's got folks riled up it seems.

Well here in Utah we're about 50 years from even getting those on the ballot.

Don't be surprised if "usually" doesn't happen this time. There is normally no line at all where I vote. This year it was out the building with hour plus waits. I went to the next town over and waited about 15 minutes.
How does that work?  We have one spot to go vote.

It never takes long, and I don't expect much of a line on Tuesday.

In progressive ol NY, can't buy beer and Lix in the same place, couldn't buy alcohol at all on Sunday until a couple years ago, and no early voting.

Well and all the volunteers are at least 90.  It takes them forever to look up your name.  Most times I just help them by flipping the pages and finding my own name and showing Mema or Pepaw.  Hell I could just point to any name in the rolls not highlighted and use that name I guess?

:lmao:  Same thing here.  I vote in a meeting room in a senior citizens community.  At least half of the volunteers remember when the 19th amendment was ratified.

Our county is pretty small. All early voting was done at the supervisor of elections office. There were four booths. I didn't have to wait for a booth but it took a couple minutes for them to get the ballots ready.

Ill take suggestions as to which donut I should eat...

Glazed, boston creme, choco glazed, raspberry filling?

My toughest decision of the day

Voted in TX on 10/28, left work a little early on a Friday and hit the polling place around 3:00. Had to wait about a minute.

In 2012 we forgot to vote early and waited in line for over an hour on Election Day. I made sure not to make that mistake again.

Mailed my ballot in yesterday.  Should have filled it out sooner, but I wasn't proactive about researching the propositions until middle of last week.

I walked straight up to the counter and a woman asked "Are you here to vote?"  I said "Yes I am", so she checked my driver's license and then I voted.  I then got one of those "I voted" stickers which I displayed proudly for the rest of the day.  It was magical.

Did the early vote thing here in Mass.

Went on 11/1 and there were 3 people working there and 3 people voting.  I was in and out in 4 minutes.

For those of you that mailed ballots, do you have to get them notarized?

It's funny to me that in Oklahoma you don't have to show ID on election day, but voting by mail requires the ballot to be notarized.

I plan on going around 6:15am tomorrow before going into work, Im hoping no one else has the same idea.
