Looking for estimates on how long a live auction draft would take with a 12 team league and 30 roster spots.

10 team 26 roster- start at 9, first owner done around three, couple more around 3:30 and everybody else about 4:00. Take 30-40 minutes for lunch and a couple of 10 minute smoke breaks during the draft.Have a non-owner post on the draft board and be real aggressive in pushing the draft along.

do lazy math... and use a clock...

1 minute first 3 rounds about 30 Minutes

2 minutes next 20 rounds 5-6 Hours

7 rounds left that will take another 3 hours...

my over/under is 9 hours...540 minutes to draft 360 players or average of 90 seconds a pick.. plus breaks and the such,,,

I'm going with the 3-4 option. We did a 20 man roster in about 2.5 hours. It eventually gets to the point where everyone has $1/roster spot left and you go into redraft mode and it speeds right along to completion.

NO CHANCE it takes only 3-4 hours. Minimum of 5, but probably 6 hours. That's 360 roster spots at an average of 1 minute/pick including breaks/recording time/ground rules/etc. Early on it will take more than 1 minute/pick for the more expensive guys, but it will even out later as some have mentioned here
