That is part of it.The difference in Suh vs. Walden in who people know is huge.Add in Suh's actions were seen by a large national TV audience.Walden's are just coming out now. He has his day in court or with the legal process to determine guilt.Id guess, like Cook for Minny, he won't be playing anytime soon for the Packers...nor should he.And if found guilty of some of what I have read, go ahead and release him.Name recognition.....people don't care about the faceless.
The situations were different too. One was a crotch grab, the other was possible forced sex. But I do agree, player stature is the biggest factor in media coverage. As far as Walden, I hope the packers don't rush to judgement on the situation. He should have his day in court before any punishment is issued. rotoworld blurb... The woman was hospitalized, but had no visible injuries, according to police.'treat88 said:Julian Edelman was arrested for sexual assault. Compare to the treatment Roethlisberger received for a mere accusation.Player stature is a huge variable in both media and league response. It's not right but it is reality.

Just the cops view of his girlfriends battered face.Do we have video like we do with Suh?![]()
Your article states cut to her faced and bump on her head...not "battered face".We get you are trying to fish here. There is already a thread and you wont see any Packer fans defending him.Just the cops view of his girlfriends battered face.Do we have video like we do with Suh?![]()

Unless he has a history of bad behavior(I'm not aware if he does or does not), probably no suspension. I am not aware of Goodell ever suspending someone for their first mistake.Suh is not what this should be compared too, as that is obviously just fishing/trolling for comments. What it should be compared to is what discipline other players in the league have faced the first time they have had incidents like these, which sadly, is not uncommon.Just asking what the suspension will be.Your article states cut to her faced and bump on her head...not "battered face".We get you are trying to fish here. Thats why you misrepresented what her injuries were and what he did (with the stomp line) and ignored the thread that was already established on this?Yeah...ok.Just asking what the suspension will be.Your article states cut to her faced and bump on her head...not "battered face".We get you are trying to fish here. I disagree...those guys waiting to be activated are who?Zombo? Hurt how many times already this year?Jones? Usually hurt as well. So'oto? The fan favorite that still cannot get much meaningful action?Walden was not great, but he continued to hold the job.In addition, anytime you lose depth, its not a good thing.Especially with a team that just had their ILB corps hit with injuries during the last game too.Who cares how long he gets suspended, that is his problem. I personally look at it as an injury that would be no problem to overcome on the Packers part. They already have a couple OLBs looking to be activated. Walden will probably end up getting cut for this, so any suspension he gets will be another team's issue.
http://www.nbc26.com/news/local/134502173.htmlMay be zero games if she does not provide testimony to keep him in jail and he is let go.Too many things not adding up for me to buy this though.

One of those guys would step in and they would be fine. Of all the positions to fill on the team. OLB is probably right behind RB in being able to get a guy off the street and fill in well.I disagree...those guys waiting to be activated are who?Zombo? Hurt how many times already this year?Jones? In Green Bay, the cops are known to shoot first and ask questions later.I think it is very tough to pass judgement right now on this without more information... For the local police to arrest a high profile person like this you would think they have some very convincing evidence agaist him. On the other hand he has never been in trouble in the past.... More information is needed here and the old "two sides to every story" applies....
Really- Barney Fife never had bullets in his gun.......In Green Bay, the cops are known to shoot first and ask questions later.I think it is very tough to pass judgement right now on this without more information... Mistake!? Like, "oops I slipped and beat the crap outta someone"Goodell has proven in the past that he doesn't need a conviction to suspend a player and I expect that to happen here even if she recants. I also expect the pack to take the chris cook route. He wont even be allowed with the team until after a suspension happens and even then it'd be more likely that he'd be released.Unless he has a history of bad behavior(I'm not aware if he does or does not), probably no suspension. pffffffft. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/134630518.htmlAnd a little more comes out.At this point...sounds more like he will and should be allowed with the team until evidence shows he was in the wrong (given the DA's words and her changing story).Still have a feeling it was more than just she fell...but not much the team or league can do I wouldn't think given the change in story of the girlfriend and what the DA had to say.
Agreed...looked awful at first...and it could very well still be that. But right now, just not enough to keep him out of action to this point (despite the attempts by Lions fans to deflect from Suh about this).http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/134630518.htmlAnd a little more comes out.At this point...sounds more like he will and should be allowed with the team until evidence shows he was in the wrong (given the DA's words and her changing story).Still have a feeling it was more than just she fell...but not much the team or league can do I wouldn't think given the change in story of the girlfriend and what the DA had to say. It's not even close to the Chris Cook situation. It's tough to say what really happened, but I doubt he'll miss any games with the NFL being in the dark as well.
