When Ward is healthy, Jacobs will not be a feature back. Even now I expect Droughns to take carries from Jacbos. Last week was an exception to the norm IMO - to keep Jacobs healthy they will need to reduce his carries going forward.

When I drafted, I was determined this year to get at least 3 non RBBC backs. (My first pick was Addai). But that's not going to be possible anymore, is it? And many of the guys I listed either did not start out as featured backs (Bush) or are no way worth as much as some RBBC backs (Addai, ADP)

 
Seems that if Jamal Lewis is healthy, Wright and Harrison are 3rd down/changye of pace backs and Lewis is the clear #1, right? Or am I mistaken here?

 
I agree both Chatman and Lewis are possibilites; so is Lamont Jordan if he gets fully healthy. But I couldn't do any of these right now until they at least do it 1-2 games

what? He hasn't split carries the last 2 games. The other backs are splitting the back up role instead of being part of a 3 man rotation. Not sure I would describe Thomas Jones as being in a RBBC....

He can't seem to score a touchdown, bu he should still probably be on the list.

Actually you are correct; oversight on my part.Thomas Jones belongs on the last; now it is 16. 50-50 feature back/RBBC in the NFL?

I know its technically a committee but he seems to be taking the lead and if he keeps getting 25 carries a game who cares.

And that's the point of this thread. Is the "featured back" overrated? I believe when we have a draft nect year, perhaps half of the top ten RB's taking will be in RBBC's...
I'm thinking I'll be waiting on a back next year. Much higher rate of sucess picking QB's and WR's. Look at the abysmal top 10 drafted RB's from this year. What a mess.

Cedric Benson has played the toughest run defensive schedule in the league. Give him a break.
Sorry, I can't. I'm not a Bears fan, but it seems to me that outside of injuries to defense, the most signficant difference between this year and last is the running game. When you watch Benson, he never breaks through a single hole. Every damn tackle brings this guy down! As a result, the Bears TOP is decreased, which means the DEF has to stay on the field longer. This guy has not only been terrible for FF, but also for his team. They ought to start Peterson, couldn't be worse, and probably much better...

If so, would it be smarter to draft a stud QB in the first and maybe a stub WR in the second? Then start getting RBs in 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds.

You are obviously not watching the Bears games and just going off hearsay.
