We have like 8 sleeping pillows on our bed (as opposed to throw or decorative pillows). It's gotten totally out of control.

Whatcha got?

Five - wife sleeps with two, there's two of the fancy ones for making the bed and then my single pillow like God intended it.

5 sleeping in theory. 3 for my wife, one goes under my head and I throw one on the floor to use as a barrier in case a kid shows up.

2 usually

sometimes i go with an extra under mine. We have the decorative ones but only really put those on if we are having company.

:bag: Seven, 5 for me, 2 for the wife. 1 under my head, one between my knees, I 'hug' 1, and the other 2 as needed for support (bad back, hip). Plus it just feels more comfy with all those pillows around.

Typically 6...I sleep with 2, wife sleeps with 2 then we have 2 big decorative ones that serve no purpose other than to get thrown on the floor. I have no idea why the hell we need these. Since we don't make the bed too often, these decorative ones are rarely actually on the bed. Occasionally, a big ### body pillow makes an appearance to make it 7.

9 during the day, 2 while sleeping.

Wife wanted decorative pillows, I don't get it but it doesn't bother me to toss them on the floor.

10 during the day plus some decorative blanket on the end of the bed. Only two pillows for sleeping.

We actually have a chaise lounge in the bedroom just for the pillows when they aren't on the bed.

It's a total pain in the ###!

Six.

I use 3. One for the head, one between legs, one to hug.

Wife uses two.

The last one is to keep it even and occasionally wife will use three. Or, more often, one of mine ends up on the floor in the middle of the night and I grab the on deck pillow.

Good to know I am not the only one who uses the 3-pillow technique.

Oh, plenty of people do it. They're called "women".

Too many....I pile them up on my wife's side when I go to bed before her, tends to irritate her....

At night when people are actually in the bed, there are 2 pillows. During the day, there may be upwards of 10 pillows of various sizes and shapes. I have no idea what purpose they serve other than making the wife happy, so I just let it go. It's not like she changed the channel during a football game.

9, including a body pillow.

I use 5 or so....3 under my head (all very thin and soft), one between the knees and a "hug pillow" also

The body pillow is good to put under my feet if I am on my back, or fold it over for some decent back door leverage.....hehe

With those with more than 4, do you buy two sheet sets? Normally 4 pillow covers in a sheet set. Do they sell pillow covers separately?

I like to sleep on my back without pillows.

King Henry VIII banned the use of pillows by anyone except pregnant women. In fact, in those good old days, most men viewed pillow use as a sign of weakness.

12 total here.

I use 2 for sleeping, the wife uses 1.

We have 8 decorative ones.

The remaining one is a "sleeping" pillow that doesn't get used that my wife puts in her "stack" when the bed is made to keep things symmetrical.

My second bed related bump of the day...

We've been using a body pillow for extra support under two standard pillows (one for each of us) in our old queen size bed. Upgrading to king, the body pillow will be too small. Do you guys just use standard pillows underneath or does anyone have something awesome to recommend?

Wife and I just use standard king pillows. She uses just 1...I have a 2nd one that is either beside me (parallel to me) or just on top of the 1st one (perpendicular to me, under my head) depending on how I feel like laying.

The extra length of the king actually makes them nice for the 1st scenario (beside me) which is something I never did with standard sized pillows.

I'm the first one to post that we have 2 (one for each of us). That's it. No throw pillows and no extras. Post 50. Wow.
