How much $ do you have invested in this FF Season? (1 Viewer)

Two leagues

a) $150.00 + $5.00/transaction = $210.00 (minus $10 for 2nd high score). 4-8 but could still make the playoffs with a lot of help.*

b) $75.00 + $5.00 (or $3.00 for inj) = $88.00. 9-3 clinched playoff spot. I can win $50.00 for #1 seed, currently in second.

c) $29.00 for football guys subscription.

TOTAL = $327.00

*I need to beat Team D and have Team B beat Team A in wk13. Then I need to beat Team A and have Team D beat Team B in wk14. Three way tie at 6-8 and I'll have the tie-breaker.

Team A is 6-6

Team B is 5-7

My Team is 4-8

Team D is 4-8

There are probably at least 30-40 people who play various contests in HSFF (high stakes fantasy football) who spend over $25,000 yearly in entry fees.

Just out of curiosity, what is your "real" job? How old are you and do you have time/interest to date or socialize? Thats a huge investment in money and time for you. I play in 2 leagues ($125 total) and that still feels like a lot at times (given my other my priorities).

Package delivery guy for huge corp...

44

it's my dating ''off-season'' becuase there's no way i could put anyone else 'first' above football this time of year so i just stay 'on the bench' ...lol

Socialize, yes...plus, even fine time to throw in a couple home games of poker : )

You, my friend, have the life...........

Two leagues.

Main league (been in this one for 16 years) $100 entry fee + $10 head to head fee + $140 transactions fees (so far) = $250

Commish league (first year in this one): $30 entry fee.

Total: $280 - $108 (total winnings so far) = $172 (but I am in 1st place right now in my main league--winner gets $600)

I went from 3 leagues to 8 this year. It doesn't really take that much more time as you are taking the time do your research anyway no matter how many teams you have. I set most of the leagues up as no trade leagues this this cuts down down on time commitment also. My only problem is Tuesday wavier claims. I dread putting it in for 8 teams and put if off all day. I couldnt imagine having to put in claims for 23 teams. What site do you play on? Is there a quick way to check for available players. Say if you wanted to pick up Toby Gerhart, do you have to search each league to see if he is available or have you found a way to streamline it?If it wasnt for the waiver/free agent issue, I would be looking to bump my team count up even more next year.
All my leagues are run on MFL, are PPR, and have roughly the same lineups/rules. Which helps quite a bit.I have a checklist I use to help going through waivers each week and usually spend 1-2 hours on it on Wednesday night. I do get quite a bit of computer time at work which helps. I have a 9 year old and 6 month old so this year has been a little more hectic that usual but once you get a system down it doesn't take much of my time. I try and do most of it between 9 and 11 at night once the kids are in bed. Really not that much difference between having 4 or 5 leagues...and understanding wife helps also :blackdot:

Only $200.

I'm in one $100 league with local friends and two $50 leagues (one with work, and one with some old friends from college).

I closely monitor the local league and it is quite intense. I'm not that serious about the other two, mainly focusing on just setting my roster and making a few waiver pickups along the way. I should be in the playoffs in all three.

I only play in one league that is $100 to get in. Waivers/trades are $2 each. I have a busy job and am married with an 8-month old kid. I do not have the time to do any more leagues.

9 leagues total

1 3 player keeper @$50

1 - TD only league @ $250 (+ $5 per transaction)

2 16 team Dynasty leagues @ 75 ea

2 32 team Dynasty leagues @$50 ea

3 16 team Dynasty leagues @ $50 ea

Used to have a WCOFF team at 2K but gave that up.

Cutting back to 6 leagues only next year

5 Leagues. $0.00. They are all dynasties and all my teams won to some degree or another last year so I am playing on house money (winnings from last year went to pay dues this year).

I don't know how people play in so many leagues. I feel stretched at 5. Yeah, I have a lot of common players on several teams and the "work" isn't a ton, but still, to be truly paying attention to what is going on in so many leagues with different scoring and starting lineup rules (and waivers and etc), its really does feel like work sometimes.

Add that to the feeling of rooting against half the same guys you are rooting for; its draining. How many times have I said on Monday "Ok, I need Peyton to throw at least 2 TDs...but not 4..and at least one has to be to Reggie...OR both to Clark...or maybe he could throw one to each but then.......ARGH!!!"

I'm guessing one of the drops will be the TD only league. A $250 TD only (very random) league would drive me crazy.

about $600. this year i found out that 7 leagues (with 3 of them being dynasty) is too many. last year i had 5 (two dynasty), that was just right.

I'm in 1 Dynasty IDP league for $15 and in 1 redraft league @ $0. No subscription here yet, probably will for next year though.

No Dynasty leagues for me, unfortunately. Hell, not even an auction league-and those are my favorite drafts!

Yep, gonna try and pare it down to about 6-7 leagues next year, because i was spread a little thin. Thinking 2 High Stakes Leagues(one with partner), 2 mid stakes, and 2 home leagues.

Someone above made a great point when they mentioned how much more time trading-leagues require. I have 3 leagues like that so between that and 2 online leagues that have waivers BOTH Tue & Wed nite, that really cuts into the flow/efficiency of managing my other leagues.

Wonder too if there's such a thing as a Dynasty online league? prob not..

This is the first year I have played for money after playing for 9 years. I am in 5 dynasty, 1 keeper and 3 redraft. $45 for 3 of the dynasties for site fees, $8 for another dynasty, $10 in the keeper and $70 total in the money leagues this year. I can't imagine spending much more than that and I don't think the wife would be too happy if I did. However, she might change her mind if I give her the possible 300 in winnings I have a very good shot at getting.

4 leagues, $470

I have a first round bye for the playoffs in 3 of them.... and I also in the playoffs in the other as well. So, everything is working out great so far. I am total pts leader in the league that I didn't get a first round bye too. However, in one of the leagues where I have a first round bye, I am 3rd in pts, and I am on a 3 game losing streak. Hopefully my team comes back around in that one.
