Just wanted to check out the latest on Santana Moss Hammy injury.. How serious is it .. is it a tweak and should he be ready to go after the bye week//

I honestly don't know the severity of the injury, but names like TO, Hines Ward, and Steve Smith come to mind. Another tricky, lingering type of injury. I saw this game, and Santana didn't just come up limping at the end of a play, he went down in a heap. He was all alone on the play, and was in a lot of pain. I immediately thought 2-4 weeks, but with the bye, who knows, he may spring right back? I doubt we'll know much before next Wed's injury report, but taking a pro-active approach (find a replacement this week-waivers) might be a good idea. We will certainly keep all the updates coming, as we get them. RWJust wanted to check out the latest on Santana Moss Hammy injury.. Me either. He kind of stood there...looked at his leg and limped off the field.I don't remember him going down in a heap.I saw this game, and Santana didn't just come up limping at the end of a play, he went down in a heap. He was all alone on the play, and was in a lot of pain.
OK, he was by himself, (no defenders within 5 feet) when he "fell" down. Once on the ground he immediately clutched his hammy, and was in obvious pain. To me, that's going down in a heap.I don't remember him going down in a heap.I saw this game, and Santana didn't just come up limping at the end of a play, he went down in a heap. had too many beers at that point, but I don't recall that at all.He slowed down, rubbed his leg, and walked off the field. There was so signs of obvious pain and never went to the ground.OK, he was by himself, (no defenders within 5 feet) when he "fell" down. We hope to have more news soon.RW

Well, Clinton tried to tell it a Knock Knock joke and it didn't laugh at all. I'd call it pretty serious hamstring! How serious is it ..
He's the #10 Wr in my league. Isn't that about where he was drafted?Santana has all the signs of the dreaded "Eric Moulds Disease"Every odd year he produces elite type numbers. Even years he is a stinker.
He has been good this season but he had one huge week and has been pretty cool the past few. Even years he has not been reliable week to week like his odd years. I was also making some fun with that comparison. He's the #10 Wr in my league. http://washingtontimes.com/sports/20061024-115256-9410r.htm. This article suggests that Moss missed practice because of a dental procedure. WTF? Well, guess we all have to wait for the update on his hamstring. I guess if it were that serious an MRI would have been scheduled.Just Bumping this one up for any information from the Washington Faithful.
Any insight you may hear across the wire would be appreciated!
TIA.
From redskins.com:BUMP,
In the event something has been reported that I haven't been able to locate over the Blogger. It appears not much will be said regarding his injury until next week since their bye is this, but it can't hurt to see if any Skins fans have heard anything.
Thanks
That's about all you're going to get until next week."We'll just have to see as we go on both Clinton and Santana during next week," Gibbs said.
