Grew up in advanced placement classes (IB) but was very middle of the pack in those classes. Voted above average.

Then again, two of my classmates were the inventor of the Nest thermostat and a Rhodes Scholar that is now one of the executives for Square, so maybe I should have gone easier on myself.

Yeah, I was always bringing up the rear in the AP classes.

I scored in the 99th percentile in most standardized tests. By the time I got to HS I had kinda come back to the pack a bit.

Got a 30 on ACT. Apparently that's 95th.

I went with average.

I have a masters degree in Electrical Engineering but have a very limited scope of general knowledge. What I know, I know well, inch wide, mile deep stuff.

You managed to retire in your 40s.

You're a hell of a lot smarter than me.

Easily the best in math at a fairly large high school. Very good in science. Just got by in language classes. In college still near top in math, but below average in other subjects. Math classes were my only A's in college, overall average GPA. But I did not really put in the effort. Would have been better off majoring in math tha engineering.

Come on, this is FBG. We're all geniuses married to supermodels, amirite?

I'm more of the mile wide, inch deep type. :oldunsure:

Jack of all trades, master of nothing.

I know about some art, a lot of music, some geography, some history, decent at math....a little of everything, but not an expert in anything.

Smart enough to do just enough to get by at a ski town college, and ski just about every powder storm in four years. (maybe five)

I've always done well on standardized tests. I scored an 800 on the math portion of the SATs and I did very well on the MCATs. However, those tests were taken back when I had brain cells.

WE ARE RENAISSANCE MEN
Similar here - general business/communications degrees. Pretty good at general people skills and trivia.

Wide variance of experiences across the career - advertising/public relations/marketing/sales/call center management/business process analysis-improvement/new business start up/regulatory/new electric market start up/IT ...blah, blah

Not really jack of all trades, but just went from one opportunity to another. Only two companies across all those jobs.

Not knowing #### about art and lit will always limit me. Fairly strong to very strong just about everywhere else though.

I have focusing problems.

I'll read history books for a month, and then get bored and switch to fiction or fantasy.

I'll focus on playing piano for 6 months, then switch to really sitting down with the guitar.

Will play chess for 6 months spurts, then switch to poker every night, then switch to crossword puzzles for 3 months.

I'm sure there's a named disorder for this (I am ADHD, so that's likely a big part)

I dont know how to answer because I consider myself very intelligent but not up to my potential yet
You have not realized your great intelligence or you haven't applied it? You have a 176 IQ, you better vote gifted sir.
I consider realization and application the same thing
To be fair, it's likely you consider farts and fairy dust the same thing also.
MCMG is a f'n numpty.

28 of you voted yourselves into the either gifted/extremely above/well above.

I think 25 of you 28 are full of ####.
Yeah I have to write in my notebook those who are "gifted" and "extremely" above average, so I may follow their great intellectual contributions to this forum. WTF have I been missing????? That's what I'm asking myself right now!!!!!

As you wish, sir.
