Interesting article about Russia and the possibility of WW3. The author certainly seems convinced that the situation is touchier than perhaps ever before. Hope he's wrong...

I hate this subject, but Vice had a very good program on what went wrong with Russia. According to their timeline things were great until the US bombed Belgrade in the 1990s. Not only did the US hit an area that Russia has centuries long ties with and a sort of sense of responsibility for, but we did it even though we failed to get UN approval to do so. Apparently with that almost immediately Russian public opinion became very suspicious of the US.

It's sad thinking about how much hope there was after the fall of the Wall.
