How would you rank Crotchery, Berrian, and Colston (1 Viewer)

All three of them seem to be the real deal.

If you had to put them in order, based on who will be most effective from here on out, what would it be?

For me:

Colston

Crotchery

Berrian

I have yet to see Colston play, but looking at his raw numbers, he looks like a gem for sure.

Can anyone give me their brief opinions on Colston as far as how he looks in game, his potential, etc? Would be greatly appreciated.

There have been some pretty suprising performances by some young WR's so far this year. Who would you say has made the biggest suprise?

OK, this was supposed to be a poll but I guess I couldn't figure out how to do it. But the WR's on the poll were gonna be:ColstonBerrianCotcheryFurryJenningsotherSorry about that.

Has to be Colston. The guy's a rookie from Hofstra and he's a top WR in the league right now.

1. Colston - Huge part of that offense. Plus he's the biggest target there.

2. Cotchery - Also a big part of the game plan. He's second fiddle to Coles (injury notwithstanding) but will see a good amount of action for a WR2.

3. Berrian - Seems more like a deep threat, hit or miss type of guy. Blazing speed, that's for sure, but I don't know if he's a guy you can consistently put into your lineup and get results.

For starters, he is easily Brees #1 option. This gives him a headstart. He plays "big". He uses his body to shield the defender. He is fast enough. I look at him like a faster Keyshawn Johnson. Of these 3, I think he finishes the year stronger barring injury.Berrian plays in the frigid Windy city. Passing sure to drop when cold weather arrives.Cotchery looks good too, but he is still the #2 option there.Colston plays in a dome, is the #1 option, and is just better than the other 2 imho.

A friend of mine is the Director of Golf at a course that Brees and a few other Saints frequent. We were watching one of the last preseson games at my house and my buddy was saying how Brees and the others keep saying how this kid from Hofstra (Colston) is the real deal. As of now after watching all their games I am now a believer, just wish I would have been a believer when he was a free agent in my league. If you didn't know who he was there is no way to put the "rookie" label on him. Colston has great hands and just keeps making plays week after week. He is and will be the #1 option for the Saints for years to come.

one word... man-child :football:

Colston- he is bree's new gates

Crotchery- a big part of their offense, hopefully the can get the running game going

Berrian- fast and he sure can catch the ball, he is everything troy williamson should be

I watched a good bit of the Saints game and the thing I noticed is how high the announcers are on Colston. He is a great story for them b/c of Colston's draft position, athletic ability and raw talent as a rookie.

He is a factor in the Red Zone as well, as he was targeted on a fade pattern that was overthrown.

The long TD was gravy yesterday against a decent opponent on the road.

I like Colston this year, and due to the warmer weather/dome factor, think he will be the top of this group of 3.

Berrian plays in the frigid Windy city. Passing sure to drop when cold weather arrives.
But don't forget his playoff schedule...Week 14 - @ St. Louis - DOMEWeek 15 - Tampa BayWeek 16 - @ Detroit - DOMEAs with any 'long threat' it's feast or famine, but I like the odds in weeks 14 and 16.

I agree with Colston. Who would've thought a 6th/7th round pick from Hofstra would just be eating up the league in his rookie year. Greg Jennings is doing really well too.

Ok lets see a poll on the these guys, for whom will have better numbers here on out. This should be interesting.

Poll candidates:

Reggie Williams

Colsten

G.Jennings

J.Cotchery

M.Furrey

B.Berrian

That's exactly how I see Colston, as a young Keyshawn. Strong, physical, seems willing to work in the middle. It also seems like he benefits quite a bit from the attention paid to R.Bush, as it creates space in the intermediate areas for Colston to work.He is in at least some of the time in 1wr sets in the redzone. They threw to him once on a slant on Monday night (I think he got a few yards but was close to breaking the tackle and walking in). He also was targetted on a fade in the endzone at least once against Carolina.

I don't think you'll be seeing a lot of 80yd touchdowns from him, but he did make a nice play this week catching the post and cutting past the safety, then having enough speed to stay in front of everyone else.

i'm not quite as surprised as most with Colston. i went to school at Lehigh, so i keep up on the 1AA college scene. then when NO let Stallworth go, i knew it was his time to step up. i picked him up right after the Stallworth trade in all my leagues, thinking he'd be a solid WR2 on a team that would be playing from behind all season. what i AM surprised with is how he's exploded into a solid WR1 on a probable playoff contender.

long answer to a short question: Colston is a beast. all other WRs mentioned in this thread are 2 steps behind.

got to think Furrey's the biggest surprise, though. as good as Roy out there, at least to this point.

Hey. Bud. Lehigh is about twenty-five minutes from my house. Are you from the area? Also, I agree with the "beast" part. He looks like David Boston when Bostoin used to be good. Huge and fast.
