How would you rank the top ten receivers right now (1 Viewer)

JunioNB, you need a bit of a break.
Love this. Im in no position or place to say this (especially cause apparently we're counting posts here) so im glad someone else did.... But in his defense, there isn't much to do in the Lehigh valley during the pigs offseason haha... That homophobic slur is flat out uncalled for and I hope I speak for everyone when I say it is incredibly unwelcome. Grow up.Anyways here's my stab at it....1. AJ green2. Megatron3. Reggie Wayne4. Roddy white5. Demaryius thomas6. Brandon Marshall7. Vincent Jackson8. Percy Harvin9. Victor Cruz10. Wes welkerI think Cobb, decker, and Crabtree def merit some attention. I don't think the Crabtree comment was too far off the wall especially if Colin kaep can be what he was last night.

agreed, this is no place for that type of hate. JR needs to reevaluate. Anyway, Many of us have been burned by him before, but D. Alexander has looked like an absolute beast recently...

My top ten WRs from here till end of season...1. AJ Green2. Calvin Johnson3. Brandon Marshall4. Vincent Jackson5. Victor Cruz6. Damaryius Thomas7. Roddy White8. Randall Cobb9. Andre Johnson10. Dez BryantNotes: I was considering Reggie Wayne & Percy Harvin for the last two spots (they'd be my 11 & 12)but I think that Andre and Dez might be just starting to heat up. Julio Jones' ankle makes me nervous. Decker seems to be getting less looks the last few weeks. M. Colston has also cooled down after that crazy three game stretch. What would your list look like?
I would go this way1. A.J. Green - Just because he is so consistent1A. Megatron - He may have more points than Green these few weeks, but it will be inconsistent3. Roddy White - He could be 1C if Jones misses time.4. Brandon Marshall - He is really the only target in that passing game, move him down if Cutler misses more time.5. Reggie Wayne - Would be a lot higher if he caught more touchdowns, but the yards and catches are there week in and out.6. Wes Welker - With Gronk out he will see more targets and probably more touchdowns, and they are still fighting for playoff positioning.7. Vincent Jackson - Tampa has the Broncos, the Saints, and the Falcons twice. To stay in the playoff race this team will have to score and score a lot8. Percy Harvin - I would have him higher, but the injury concerns me.9. Victor Cruz - I think Nicks is coming back and will cut into his targets.10. Micheal Crabtree - This is my off the wall one, if I went regular I would go with D.T., but I love his schedule the rest of the way and he seems to have figured it out.
Some constructive criticism. I would've but D.T. above Crabtree and Cruz, maybe even above Welker too. But if this is for standard leagues then I can see your point.

Top of my head?

AJ Green

Brandon Marshall

Calvin Johnson

Reggie Wayne

Randall Cobb

Dez Bryant

Percy Harvin

Wes Welker

Vincent Jackson

Danny Amendola

interesting, the crowd seems pretty split about Demaryius. Some have him as high as #3, others not on the list at all..
Bump Andre Johnson after a second straight big game?
Depends they have at least a 3 game lead on the Colts in the South and a 2 game lead over the Ravens for the number 1 seed. If they keep winning and the Ravens lose a game or two you will see Johnson only playing the first half in some games in the fantasy playoffs.

No love for Dez? 377 yards and 4 tds past 3 weeks, PHI CIN PIT and NO coming up.
Hes had a cult hate in here for years, this site almost seems to nit pick the crap out of him in spite of just not liking the guy... you prob wont find Dez love on these forums judging by every post on him(there are a few exceptions)... just sayin.

I think you might be right.

Thank you for facilitating this BassNBrew. As this isn't for much money, I would like to append, if JR is amenable, our wager with one line item. I would like to make this a loser leaves town matchup! THat is, the loser of our matchup will no longer be allowed (we will have to trust that the loser no longer posts under his current or any other name)on the FBG forum. Do you accept JR? If not, you scared and you know that I am more learned about FF than you. Don't worry though pal, its almost Fantasy BBall season.
Ridiculous.

You have to have Reggie Wayne over Andre and Dez. If Andre didn't have a huge week, he wouldn't even be in anybody's top 20. Dez will be hit or miss for the rest of the season as well.
You're welcome Dez and Andre owners! I'll be around the rest of the season as well!

For the rest of the season

AJ Green

Calvin

Andre

Roddy

Cobb

Thomas

Marshall ( assuming Jay comes back)

VJax

Welker

Dez

I think if DX can do it on turf one week and not miss practice the next week, he needs to be on every one of these lists. Could be that a couple months off was just what he needed for that knee to stay together...

Good posting here. I think we need to see one more big week out of him. But if he does it this week, this could be the biggest "come from nowhere" stud we've seen in a while.

Hoping to Ride my duo of Calvin/AJ Green to the 'ship in an auction league.

Here is my list:

1. Calvin

2. AJ Green

3. Andre Johnson

4. Reggie Wayne

5. Roddy White

6. Wes Welker

7. Dez Bryant

8. Demaryius Thomas

9. Danario Alexander

10. Vincent Jackson

If Cutler doesn't get healthy its tough to throw Marshall on the list. Curz and Julio have been a bit inconsisent for my liking too.

Are those up coming opponents supposed to make me feel better about Dez? Philly is a decent match up, and you love the Saints match up, but Pittsburgh is no joke and did you see what Cincy did to the Giants a few weeks back, this team is starting to build something and make a real playoff push.

All considering, the main thing i feel optimistic with Dez is he seems to have found Romo's targets... technicaly Tony never really went to him the past few seasons but man it looks different this year. Through it all Dez Bryant has improved his route running and has atleast looked the part of a elite talent on the rise this season (granted with adversity and lumps on the way).

Roddy White

Andre Johnson

Demaryius Thomas

AJ Green

Dez Bryant

Wes Welker

The Dallas defense has taken major steps backwards after key injuries to Sean Lee and Bruce Carter have to start Ernie Sims  . They will not be able to play conservative like earlier in the season and will have to score to win. Probably too late now but I really like Romo, Dez, and Witten as good buy low candidates.

I think Kenny Britt could provide some big games down the stretch with Locker back at qb he is my sleeper WR.

I think Colston needs at least a mention.
I'm not sure here. Look at his performance since Graham came back, and look at his target numbers in games where Graham has played and been healthy this season. It doesn't look super promising for him. He could have a big one here or there, but I suspect we're going to see lots of these 4 target games with 40 receiving yards and no TDs.

Is he really a come from nowhere guy though? Most of us knew he had talent. Almost a comeback player of the year candidate but not a real "come from nowhere" IMO

I've been as big a fan as anyone, but he was never widely considered to be much of anything, primarily because of his injuries. I think what's most impressive is that the Rams let him go, he eventually ended up on the Chargers, and then a week after he joined the team, just started dominating. The more Rivers force feeds him the ball and it works, the more he'll continue to do it. Danario is the only one out there making Rivers look good.Bottom line is that, probably more than any of the breakout candidates his year, he was on nearly nobody's radar screen, and now just a few weeks later you've got the dudes over at CBS ranking him a top15 WR this week. It happened nearly overnight.

DX is a great talent, no doubt, problem is we've all been burned by him before. Cant recall him putting together this many good games together though in the past.

4 catches for 36 yards this week. The TD was a game saver. But again, this keeps reinforcing the point that Colston is no longer a top WR, and no way he'll be top 10 the rest of the season.

they played the top defense in the league and he still came away with 10 points. He's probably the #2 redzone target after Graham on one of, if not the, top passing offense in the league. With Atl, Giants and TB on the schedule he's got a decent shot to finish right around 10th IMO.

Go look at his target and catch numbers for games in which Graham played this year. Look at his YPC. Not happening.
