How would you tier the tight ends? (1 Viewer)

In my 12-team keeper league, without boring you with the details, I basically have a choice to take a stud tight end with the 4.12 pick (Gates, Finley, Witten, etc.) or to use that pick on a value play for my RB3 and wait until the 9.01 pick to get my starting tight end. If I wait until the 9th round, will the TE's available there be a huge drop off from the stud TE's, or will there not be much of a difference? I guess my more general question is how would you tier the top 15-20 tight ends this year?

As I look closer, I'm not sure that reflects how I actually feel about drafting a TE this year.GatesClark-Finley-Davis (though I'm biased AGAINST Davis, based on changes to the offense)And after that, the next dozen or so are all in a big, lumpy tier where I don't really care if I get Gonzo, Witten, Gresham, one of the Millers, or any of a dozen others. I think they'll all be grouped close enough together that it doesn't matter much.
