I didn't see a thread and most know him for the Univ of Miami '83-'84 but he was an assistant for the Miami Dolphins and the late great Don Shula during the 70s, sometimes he was the Offensive Coordinator.
He was 87 years old and will always be remembered around South Florida.
I met him a few times but once in the 90s at the new CITS at the time, sorry Raymond James. Selmon was getting USF going and he wanted to bring football to FAU, can you believe that? Who would ever start a program there? I bumped into him coming out of the elevator and nobody said hello to him which I thought was weird so I spoke up and introduced myself and he talked to me for many minutes more than I ever would have imagined.
