My heart goes out to the true Packer fans who have had to suffer due to TT's ego. They deserved better.

Suffer How??Man has rebuilt the team into a contender for years to come. Packers have gone from having only solid starters to having depth at almost every spot on the team.

Tell us how the offensive line has been built so well.

I almost posted the same thing last night, but I didn't want to pull the rug out from under anybody.

Agreed...the Oline is where TT has failed so far in his time in GB.Not sure if it was losing Jags to Boston College that meant the sucking of the zone blocking...or just his inability to draft or sign guards.If he was as good at finding Oline as he is at WRs...Id be very happy.

I also know is 69.8% pass completetion percentage this year would have helped. I know that opposing defenses would have different game plans if Favre was the QB and not Rodgers. I know that McCarthy would probably not be so conservative if Favre was the QB and the team likely would have tried to get into better field position against the Vikings. I know that Favre has his team in first place and the Packers have a chance to be looking at 4-6 on Sunday. I know that you will never understand any of this.

As a 49er fan, I was happy to see TO go because the other WRS on our team were better than him when he left, when Steve Young got hurt it made me full of glee because he was a horrible QB. If we trade Patrick Willis in the offseason I'll throw a party cause he is the stink, Shaun Hill is the best QB ever, I'd take him over Joe or Steve in an instant, and that kid Josh Morgan is 10x the WR Jerry Rice ever was. The play of Rodgers is part of their worries and one of the reasons the team is 4-5. Also, for the TT lovers in the crowd....if he has done such a great job of building this team then why are they 4-5? The offensive line is in shambles, the linebackers are failing against the run, there is no depth at QB, and they keep a punter that is terrible. If TT has done so well shouldn't the Packers have a better record than 4-5 considering they were 13-3 last year? Of course, not having Brett Favre as the QB has had nothing to do with it.

Rodgers did not play well last game...he also had no time to throw the ball.The Oline and play of the defense is far more worrisome than any play of Rodgers. You act as if Rodgers has just been stinking and Favre has been lighting the league on fire.As I have said, TT deserves every criticism he gets for the Oline right now. But you also have to look at who is struggling. Part of it is a surprise with Clifton. I don't think anyone in their right mind thought TT should have gone out and replaced him this offseason.Depth at QB? There is 2 young guys. But so far, the depth at QB has nto been an issue.Who is saying TT is perfect? I think he has done a good job with this team in his time here. A dropoff was expected starting a new QB, the injuries to two of their best defensive players is not helping now either.Nobody is saying not having Brett at QB has nothing to do with it. Again, you make an argument against a point that nobody is making.I think this team would be better had Favre never retired and gone through his offseason like he did the previous year. For those that like the number enough to bring it up...it shows the QB play has not been the issue. That your QB that is the savior is rated pretty much equal to the guy that is supposedly one of the worries of the staff.But I think the number is ridiculous and arbitrary...again, there is no taking off for what happens once a QB throws an INT and other such things. It also does not take into consideration some of the rushing Rodgers has put up that has helped the team get first downs. There are things that would help and hurt each player in that number. But if you want to post it to try and show something...you better be willing to back it up more than some after the fact claim that you just posted it to see what I would come up with. Nobody is buying that lame attempt.

Ive said he played well last night. Prior to that though, you can't make the argument that he was playing at a level that would be helping the Green Bay Packers.I have talked about him in response to the few that continue to act as if #4 would make all problems in GB better.

He has not played very well the whole year...thats not bashing, that is the fact of his play on the field. Saying he is not the savior of this current Packer team is not bashing the guy.

It seems like there are about 2-3 posters that are arguing against me...and the majority of other Packer fans in this thread have been saying pretty much the same things as I have.That #4 would not be making this team any better with how he played and that Rodgers is not the problem on this team.

Had he been on board all offseason, I agree...they may have done that.He was not.The way he has played this season, I don't see them being any better. Again, there are far more problems on this team than the play of the QB right now.

I love Favre and can root for him now without hurting the team. He brings a lot of baggage with him and Rodgers is 24.He is also more careful now with the ball, something I doubt would have happened here.

As for the Jets, of course Favre is a big upgrade over what they had last year. But the biggest improvement on the Jets is their defense. Favre is a part of the improvement, namely because last year's QB play was terrible. But the defense is a bigger reason.

The Jets' defense tried their hardest to piss last night's game away. Favre wouldn't allow that to happen. He was the primary reason why the Jets held on to win. Playing on the road, in a tough environment against a well-coached team that owned him in the first meeting and all he did was make big throws time and time again, didn't turn the ball over and led the Jets to the win in overtime.

As a long-time Packer fan I wish I could blame all of the teams problems on a single player or trade.

As rambling and endless as sho nuff can be when posting about the Pack...he's correct on this one. Unfortunately, the Packers would not be any better with Favre under center because the problems with the team do not come from the quarterback position. Rodgers has been great and steady week to week. With Favre the Pack probably would have won last week at Minnesota but probably would have lost an earlier game when Favre had one of his 3 INT games.

Favre was exactly what the Jets needed...I just wish the Pack could have received Jenkins or an offensive lineman back in return because that's exactly what the Packers need.

That one was a head scratcher for sure. He could be useful down the stretch this year though.The guy was a beast at Tennessee and they have produced some nice DTs there.
