This is one of those moments when you're listening to someone tell a story, and you realize that what happened and what the story-teller thinks happened are two quite different things.Someone explained to me that you can tell who is a woman or a man by looking at them and seeing either a penis or a ######, much like in here. It was in person, so I made the off-the-cuff "how closely are you looking at these women to tell if they have ######s or not?" quip. There was general silence.
"You... you know that a ###### isn't on the outside of the body, right?"
Silence.
I know you think that, but after several minutes it was determined that three men over the age of 50 didn't understand the difference between a vulva and a ######.This is one of those moments when you're listening to someone tell a story, and you realize that what happened and what the story-teller thinks happened are two quite different things.Someone explained to me that you can tell who is a woman or a man by looking at them and seeing either a penis or a ######, much like in here. This and the "you've probably kissed a transgender person" angles - I don't understand the relevance of either.I know you think that, but after several minutes it was determined that three men over the age of 50 didn't understand the difference between a vulva and a ######.This is one of those moments when you're listening to someone tell a story, and you realize that what happened and what the story-teller thinks happened are two quite different things.Someone explained to me that you can tell who is a woman or a man by looking at them and seeing either a penis or a ######, much like in here. I don't think there is any to the rights debate. Can't say I've ever heard "pretty vulva". Yes, it occurred to me that lots of people probably don't know what that part of the body is actually called. Heck, I was talking to lawyers who file medical malpractice actions. Can't say I've ever heard "pretty vulva". Hey, look who's back.Gender dysphoria would be the psychological or psychiatric condition. And no, they wouldn't be male by any definition, only a biological one. Psychiatrists and psychologists recognize the gender/sex distinction that seems to elude you.ghostguy123 said:Assuming no genetic or chromosomal abnormalities, you do realize that transgender would be a psychiatric condition correct?
If so, then there would be zero merit to allowing that person to use the opposite bathroom, because they are in fact MALE (for example we will use male here) by every imaginable definition, INCLUDING psychiatry.
In psychiatry when someone thinks they are Jesus and wants to spread the word, they are treated, not given a bible and a job at a local church. They are considered delusional.
In the case of the transgender, we do not refer to this male as a female in the computer for admission purposes, in doctors notes, in nurses notes, or any way shape or form. They all have their own bathrooms, but if they did not, the male would have to use the boys room, regardless of whether or not they thought they were a female.
When we had rooms with multiple beds, there was absolutely no chance in all hell a penis was going to be in the same room as a vag. Zero chance. Zero chance then, and zero chance now.
I personally do not view any of this as "rights". Transgender have EVERY RIGHT that anyone else has. They may vote, get married, drive a car, eat wherever they want, shop wherever they want, live wherever they want, and do anything that me, your, or anyone else can do. And in this case, they have the RIGHT to use the same bathroom that essentially half the population uses.
It really is as simple as that............................unless of course you want to cater to the thoughts and feelings of each individual person, but in that case we need to create a completely unique world for each and every person with total disregard for everyone else, while still allowing everyone else the same world catering to their thoughts and feelings as well. Good luck with that.
Yeah, that's kind of weird. Might think you'd load the kid up on steroids and see if that normals them out. Sheesh.Still in shock that 14 year olds are getting hormone therapy for this. Unbelievable.
Probably shouldn't alienate your supporter.Lol, that's sweet of you Em, but that's not exactly how steroids work.

As soon as he grew the penis......boys room
"He"? It's not one kid. It's 2% of their population. As soon as he grew the penis......boys room
I am opposed to kids just willy nilly sprouting penises whenever they get damn good and ready to do so."He"? It's not one kid. It's 2% of their population. As soon as he grew the penis......boys room
Looks like the Boys rooms with have 2% more customers then."He"? It's not one kid. It's 2% of their population. As soon as he grew the penis......boys room
Their society treats them like girls when they have no penis, and boys when they do."He"? It's not one kid. It's 2% of their population. As soon as he grew the penis......boys room
Makes sense.Their society treats them like girls when they have no penis, and boys when they do."He"? It's not one kid. It's 2% of their population. As soon as he grew the penis......boys room

It's you three and a couple of stragglers still checking into this thread. I wouldn't worry about counting supporters since logic won this many pages ago.Everything I say is more wrong when he is a supporter.Probably shouldn't alienate your supporter.Lol, that's sweet of you Em, but that's not exactly how steroids work.
It's fascinating, but I have to explain why it's fascinating to me? That's a weird position.Henry, you really gotta explain your thoughts about that article you posted. I mean yeah, it is "fascinating" as you said, but why is it fascinating to YOU?? What are YOUR thoughts on it, and how does it relate to the bathroom issues we have going on right now in schools.
They have been for decades. One of the first resulting drugs is the active ingredient in Rogaine.I would think pharmaceutical companies would be studying this closely. If you can grow a normal penis from less than a nubbin at puberty, imagine the growth you could encourage on a normal willie. Why with a little well timed hormone and supplement program we might create a generation of super-penised boys. The question then is whether nature would respond with adjustments to the female equipment.
If we are going to dip our toes in the waters of designer genitalia I say we go in whole hog. Lets give everyone the genitalia of their dreams. I'd like one with a hood like a cobra and the capability of whistling a happy ditty or two.
Relating it to the bathroom issue as to "when" then switch bathrooms, seems simple. As soon as everyone realizes their actual sex/gender.It's fascinating, but I have to explain why it's fascinating to me? That's a weird position.Henry, you really gotta explain your thoughts about that article you posted. I mean yeah, it is "fascinating" as you said, but why is it fascinating to YOU?? I just didn't feel the need to start a new thread on gender and sex. I don't think there's any question that these kids' biological sex doesn't change because of puberty hitting, right? But they are treated completely differently - except for the ones who go through gender reassignment surgery at that time and continue to live as girls/women.
How does it relate to bathroom issues? Well, about 4% of the people in the girls' room before puberty are boys. And despite all of the statements regarding transgender issues being about "crazy" people who "have issues" or who are "delusional" about being a boy in a girls' body and vice versa, all articles I've read about the guevedoces suggest that often parents know it's coming - the young "girl" refuses to behave or dislikes behaving as that gender, wants to play with the boys, etc. It's only because of a crazy genetically inherited balance of hormones that these kids outwardly become male at puberty, and who knows if everyone with the same traits does? And at that point, they move into the other gender completely (unless they and their parents decide to continue to live/raise as a girl and surgically intervene - which happens.)
I think there's an interesting question about when these kids, under the theories in this thread, should be forced to move into the other restroom/locker room. If at all. And who does the checking to see if it's time. And whether a kid who suddenly finds out she's biologically male but intends to continue to live as a girl needs to be shunted over to the boys' room for a few months until a surgery can be scheduled. Things like that.

The administration at the University of Toronto was recently enlightened on why two separate washrooms are generally established for men and women sharing co-ed residencies.
The University is temporarily changing its policy on gender-neutral bathrooms after two separate incidents of "voyeurism" were reported on campus September 15 and 19. Male students within the University’s Whitney Hall student residence were caught holding their cellphones over female students’ shower stalls and filming them as they showered.
Melinda Scott, dean of students at the University of Toronto, told The Daily Wire that campus police had been contacted immediately and worked with residence staff to “support impacted students and ensure the safety of the Residences.”
“Given the serious nature of these incidents and the impact on directly affected students, we made the decision to specifically designate some washrooms in Whitney Hall for those who identify as men and those who identify as women,” Scott said.
The Daily Wire contacted the University dean and staff members and asked them how they could be unfeeling enough to force men to use men’s washrooms and women to use women’s washrooms. “What does the University have to say to this?” The Daily Wire demanded. "How could the University be so intolerant?"
The University defended itself, asserting that “more than 50% of the washrooms in the residence remain gender-neutral.”
Of course the University maintained it would not be so intolerant as to limit men and women to designated bathrooms. Instead, it is a “temporary measure” to “provide a safe space for the women who have been directly impacted by the incidents of voyeurism and other students who may feel more comfortable in a single gender washroom in the wake of these events.”
This makes perfect sense: some students are bigots and would prefer to not get naked in the presence of strangers of the opposite sex.
The University concluded that while the changes were made in the specific residence hall of the voyeurism incidents, “there has been no change to the designation of gender-neutral washrooms in the other University College Residences or elsewhere on campus as a result of these incidents.”
I don't know. What are you reading it as?"This makes perfect sense: some students are bigots and would prefer to not get naked in the presence of strangers of the opposite sex."
Am I reading this right?
Someone is a "bigot" if they prefer not to get naked around strangers of the opposite sex......................that sound right?I don't know. I think it's saying "some people are bigots and those people generally prefer not to get naked around strangers of the opposite sex." As in "some people don't consider transgendered individuals 'real' women/men (and are bigots as a result) and would prefer not to get naked around them." It's not terribly clearly written, but I think that's what it's saying.Someone is a "bigot" if they prefer not to get naked around strangers of the opposite sex......................that sound right?I don't know. What are you reading it as?"This makes perfect sense: some students are bigots and would prefer to not get naked in the presence of strangers of the opposite sex."
