Huge catch by Moss (1 Viewer)

I think it is pretty funny when people say without that one big play Randy Moss would have been average in this game. They went for the big play a lot. Moss gives an offense the opportunity to do that. If he would have made a play on more than one of those 6-8 bombs they attempted he could have had 250 + yards and at least one more TD.Look at the coverage he demands from the defense. The Raiders did not really take advantage of this enough. I expect they will more as the season progresses. When thier other Wrs get healthy they can take the mismatches more. I do kind of doubt that Collins will be as good at this as Culpepper was. Collins is definitly not as accurate. Culpepper is a lot smarter than people might realise. He would frustrate Moss by taking the mismatch so often. I saw some plays that Moss would have made if the ball had better placement away from the defender. Moss bungled some catchable balls too. When a defense lays back so many players in coverage the Raiders should run the ball more. A lot of the time the threat of Moss is better than targeting Moss himself.I don't think Collins is a very smart Qb. It remains to be seen what adjustments the Raiders make after watching film and seeing the other opportunites they had when Collins was heaving the ball into triple coverage.I think s time goes on Moss will adjust to way Collins throws also and make a higher percentage of those plays. Some of those throws were really hanging Moss out to get killed though. This is where people see how Moss does not have the heart to sell himself out like some other Wrs will. They need to throw some come backs as well against those 3 deep coverages. All in all Moss owners should be happy with the commitment the Raiders have to get him the ball though. I see his targets being higher with the Raiders offense than they have been with Minnesota. I count 16 total targets for the game to Moss so if that continues he will end up with 256 targets over the season. The highest number of targets for Moss that I have record of is 201 for the year.
