There's too much going on out there right now to cry about rain but I'm here to tell you in all my days as a Floridian I've not seen this many inches of rain over North Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast the last several days as this storm continues to spin out there and just dump rain on Florida. There's no warnings but when i left for Publix tonight around 6, we got like half a hurricane blow thru here and dump 6-8 inches n about an hour? I didn't think we were going to make it back as the roads were already saturated, guy in front of me just died out in the middle of deep water.
These are the storms that end up causing us the most damage. We can prepare for a week for a good fast moving Cat 3, whole event is over in less than a day, worst is really 3-4 hours. This thing or pattern as not stopped for days now. It's been very dry and very little prior to all of this. That's a terrible lead up to Hurricane season, it's like you get no Spring or gentle rains to keep things relatively cool and so once in a while Mother Nature has to send along a hurricane just to cool things off as the surface temperature or the water temperature gets too hot.
I already thought this was going to be a particularly rough year and you add in all the other things going on, this is just going to be a mess. Louisiana looks like they should take a hit, the Florida Panhandle looks like they will be on the right side of the storm which has all the juice.
