I am happy to have drafted _________________ (1 Viewer)

I am in a Dynasty auction league (5th year, $100 cap). I knew I'd be able to nab either Adrian Peterson (Min) or Calvin Johnson because while some of our owners are pretty sharp, many of them undervalue rookies.

I grabbed Adrian Peterson for $6 :lmao:

I can't believe there weren't more bidders for him. Calvin went for $15, so I missed out due to insufficient funds.

Who did you nab that was your #1 priority?

Looks like I will be a Portis owner in 4 out of 4 drafts, and Adrian Peterson in 3 of 4...very pleased with this.

I'm suffering my usual post-draftum depression. Before the draft everything looks good and I see the upside of all the players. Once they're on my roster all I see is the downside. I'm such a negative nelly.

:D

happy to have drafted....

...Tony Gonzalez as 4th TE off the board (Gates-Heap-Davis)

...Ron Curry, Arnaz Battle and Demetrius Williams VERY late

...Olindo Mare in the last round

...NO backup TE, K or DEF. Never believed in it, never will

Grabbed Portis at 2.5 and Lee Evans at 4.5 of a 12 teamer. Very happy about both of those picks, especially after hearing the news today that Clinton will be returning to practice.

Brees

Colston

Marvin

Westbrook

Owens

Henry

FWP

All are gonna be beast's this season.

Traded for LJ in 3 Dynasty leagues this off season and also nabbed Peterson in 2 trades as well. A fine off-season. :D

Ahman as my 4th RB in a redraft league, before the Cowboy game last Saturday night..... And Lamont and Fred T. late as the 36th and 39th RB's off the board.

FWP would be my first. . .got him in both leagues. . .once at the #9 pick, and once at the #4 pick

Few others I'm excited about, but FWP was a target.

Colston, CJ2 & Walker are all drafted on upside, and all on one team

I somehow managed to get Steve Smith #1 AND Wayne in my other league, but I did lose depth at QB.

All and all, I think I have 2 solid teams.

I was just thinking the same thing this weekend. If those backups aren't required by league rules, why bother? That's a wasted roster spot. Take a chance with a sleeper WR or RB. You can always drop the sleeper later in the season if you need a backup K or D.

I reached but I was very happy to secure the Bears with the 52nd pick in our draft. Every week when I compare matchups with my opponent, I often find everything about even with the D sometimes being the deciding factor. Having the best D— :kicksrock:

Also took Ginn as the 232rd player (last pick). He could pay dividends by the second half of the season.

1) Maroney

- I paid a pretty penny to get him, but he was #1 on my wishlist.

2) Calvin Johnson

- Dynasy league @ $4

3) Lee Evans

- as my #3 WR behind CJ and R Will

4) Owen Daniels

- 12th TE off the board, I think he could contend for Top 5

Evans went for $24 in my $100 auction league, whereas Roy Williams was only $9. I thought those two represented a bargain and an overpayment. I like Evans, but not for that much $$$.Owen Daniels went for $7, which I thought was high.

James Jones...I think he's going to have a nice 2nd half to the season.

Reggie Bush...I think he's going to get a few more touches this year and will run inside a bit more.

Drew Brees...He sure has looked sharp in the preseason.

Owen Daniels...I think the whole Houston offense will be improved with the addition of Shaub. I also like Andre Johnson alot, but, didn't get him.

**My league is a 12 team redraft that rewards out of position touchdowns and long touchdowns.

Got who I wanted in a keep 4 (3+1 under 25) dynasty draft.

Antonio Gates-check

Calvin Johnson-check

Leon Washington, mid-check

Ronald Curry, late-check

Michael Bennett last pick-check

Good luck beating my starters:

Stephen Jackson

Portis (w/ Betts handcuff of course)

Driver

Walker

TO

Witten

Steelers

Gostkowski

Bench:

Ahman Green as RB3 and Jamal Lewis as RB4.

Hackett, Mason and Welker as WR reserves.

Dallas Clark as TE reserve.

I expect to kick the living crap out of everyone.

Riddle: Do you know who the Patriots had to double-team last year?

Hint: He will lead the Patriots in receiving yards and TDs this year. Mark it down.

Situations like this always make me nervous. I hate having one player across the board, especially a starter. I've found that it is tough to start of the season this way becuase scooping up talent off the waiver wire sometimes has that same effect. Good scouting (FBG's) leads to a chance to scoop up talent earlier than leaguemates and might end up with the same promising WW pickup on multiple teams.

1)Maroney  2)Portis  3)Lee Evans  4)Vernon Davis :hot:
:cry:14 team league:1)Willie Parker2)Portis 3)Lee Evans 10 team league:3. (28) Antonio Gates TE (may have overpaid here, but I wanted him in at least one league this year, and had been unsuccessful)4. (33) Maurice Jones-Drew RB8. (73) Adrian Peterson RB :X9. (88) Santonio Holmes WR :bag:

Targeted Jay Cutler in the 10th round and got him there. The way I figure it there's very little drop-off from someone like Bulger to Cutler, so why use a 4th or 5th round pick when you could get another RB and wait on the QB instead.

In one leauge you got the first 7 players? By my count that is at least 2 1st rounders and 3 2nd rounders

In a 12 team auction draft with $100 cap I was able to get these bargains.

Romo $2

FWP $19

Kellen Winslow Jr $1

Lamont Jordan $1

Deshaun Foster $2

I was pleased as punch that Bush fell to me at 1.09 in a 14 team PPR redraft.

Was really hoping to get Harrison/Housh with picks 2.06 and 3.09 but settled for Harrison/Roy Williams instead.

i went into my draft with a whole team sketched out.... some don't believe in targetting, but i do, and because of this i made a massive amount of pre-draft trades and even during draft trades... i ended up with every player i wanted except 2! Ahman Green... who went in the 3rd round! and McNabb who also went in the 3rd round... i was stunned because their ADP wasn't suggesting they'd be taken there... oh well... at least i got...

A. Gates

L. Evans (if you made me pick one, evans is the guy i would have been devestated not to get)

R. Williams

A. Johnson

Chicago D

and then my late round (10+) 'sleepers' all came to me with no trouble:

D. Foster

L. Jordan

L. White

R. Curry

J. Campbell

i ended up with Romo instead of McNabb

and Benson was there when i was going to draft Green so i took him instead...

not sure how i feel about those two picks

if i lose - i'll prolly blame it on that

I've snapped up Adrian Peterson in every league so far. 3.12 in the most recent league, to pair with Travis Henry. I am totally sold on him, and am convinced that he'll finish the year in the top 15, maybe top 10 RB.

Henry + Peterson at RB =

1) DETROIT WR's! Roy Williams($36) and Calvin Johnson($18)...Furry($9, got screwed at end of draft and HAD to pay for backup)

2) Adrian Peterson($26)

3) Steve Smith($39)

4) Vince Young($13)

5) Tony Gonzo($9)

6) Thomas Jones($17)

7) A Boldin($24)

;)

My team is the all exciting team,,... all i need now is Bush

Start 4 wr's by the way

I've only had one draft for a keeper league so far. I got James and Jacoby Jones at the end of my draft and was fairly happy that both of my sleeper WRs went untouched. Other than that I can't really say that I targeted any specific players. I think that you often end up overpaying for specific players when you intentionally target them. I try to go into a draft trusting my list and not thinking any particular way about specific players.

For instance, I can't say that I'm all THAT excited about him, but I ended up with Ahman Green as my #3 RB. Being a Bills fan I'm more excited about Lynch than I am Green, but I had Green ranked higher than Lynch and honestly believe that he'll have a better season. If I drafted with my heart I definitely would have Lynch on my team. But I didn't want to reach for him just because I had some sort of attachment to him going into the draft.

Tom Brady $27

Lee Evans $25

Santonio Holmes $7

$275 auction, we get to keep 1 for next year with 10% increase

also have

Alex Smith $1

Brady Quinn $1

Jerious Norwood $8

12 Team dynasty

Calvin Johnson

Ronald Curry

James Jones

Marshawn Lynch should be top 15 next season

Jason Hill potential 3rd yr break out, roster filler till then.

12 team dynasty: Addai @ 1.09, FWP @ 2.04

2+rookie keeper: Portis @ roughly pick 55th overall, Foster and O. Mare in last 2 rounds.

Very happy with FWP at 1.07--was hoping he'd be there but unsure

R Williams at 3.07--great value

A Green at 4.06--will well outproduce his ADP

KJ at 10.06--will play 12 games and still be a top 15 back

Big Ben at 9.07--not very late but 16th QB taken

Guys I wanted but didn't get were Brandon Marshall, Curry

Portis in 7 leagues

Santana Moss in 8 leagues

Steve Smith in 6 leagues

Calvin Johnson in 6 leagues

Reggie Bush in 5 leagues

Cooley in 5 leagues

Palmer in 4 leagues

Let the good times roll!
