You serious? Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. The Niner offense is quite possibly the worst in the NFL next to Miami.

Let's see, when he was healthy he was averaging 154 passing yards per game, and had 1 TD in 3 games.

Now he's not healthy, and Darrell Jackson is doubtful.

Stay far away.

In a fairly deep league (12 teams, 20 man rosters) I got Battle off FA. I like the NO matchup. He was good the past 2 weeks, but Smith is back DOH! Jackson's out as well. You have to do whwat ya gotta do, but if you can avoid Smith, I would. Vinny over Smith for sure, Vinny's got Smith.

It's a one week scenario whereby I need to replace Hassleback. Dropped Schaub due to the uncertainty.

I guess I'll put some further thought into it when I get home drunk tonight from my halloween party....

Considering SF hasn't had a 200yd passer in 19/20 games, and hasn't had a 300yd passer in 49/50 games...I think that should be your clue. I'm sure they had nice match ups in the past 1-3yrs too and did they pan out....not really.

Saints defense has performed well in recent weeks, knocking out the last two starting QBs they have faced.......not sure this is a good matchup.

I have Romo on bye and had Garrad, a top 10 fantasy QB ready to step in this week until he sprained his ankle. Only choices are Vinny and Smith. I'm not sure it matters much - sure, Vinny has Smith but is also playing the tougher matchup. I'm going with Smith. There is a good chance I'll lose regardless.

That is all you need to know, of course now we are all set up to be completely wrong

There's a lot of uncertainty with that 49ers offense. Frank Gore, Darrell Jackson, and Jonas Jennings are all hurt. This offense was bad enough as it is. Without those guys I just don't know what to expect from Alex Smith which probably wouldn't have been much anyway.

Trent Edwards should be a good start against the Jets. He played well against them last time and now they lost their best defensive player.
