I figured out how to beat the MLB TV blackout scheme (1 Viewer)

naaaa, basically involved using an anomymous IP address
How do you do that? I'm ripped. I was in Charleston on Monday and even paid the GF to purchase the account on her card, setting up "my" address as down there, even though I live in CT. Came back last night and tried to watch the Yanks and/or Mets...but, no go. Found out later they use the IP address, not billing address. Wicked smaht over there at MLB. So, how do you get your IP to go anonymous?Stupid MLB doesn't have 1.2MB feeds working yet either. This service sucks pine tar.

OK Here are the steps:

http://www.anonymousproxylist.net/

Program is clean, has been verified by multiple sources.

Once installed, run the program. Hit the Start button at the top. This will give you the following:

Now I don't know what everything means, but I know the important parts:

Country: Pick something out of the USA

Ping - This tells ou how fast it is. I look for the 100-200 range

Make sure there is no timeout

OK once you see one you like, remember the address and Port

Next, in Explorer, go Tools, Options, Connections, LAN Settings, Use a Proxy Server, and enter the stuff in.

For Mozilla, Tools / Options / Advanced / Network / Connection Settings, and do the same

It is actually very easy. That is it. When you are not using mlb.tv it is advisable to disable it, as it does slow your computer down slightly. Also, if you end up with a slow connection just try another one.
