I get to pick my draft slot in 12 team re-draft (1 Viewer)

Standard scoring, (Not PPR).

I have the second choice at draft slot (Yes, we randomize the draft order, and then have to pick a spot to draft in that order.... don't ask.)

As if that isn't strange enough, our serpentine draft switches after 2 rounds... so if you draft 1st you get picks 1, 24... and then 36,37,60,61 etc.  If you draft 12th, you get 12,13,25,48,49, 72,73 etc....

So my question is, what end of this draft do i want?  Or do i pick in the middle because it's convoluted and makes my brain hurt?  Do i want 4 of the top 37 picks or 3 of the top 25?

I like the idea of picking your draft slot.  We have been doing this for years.  Typically most people aren't confident enough to deviate from the "highest pick available" choice but for those that really like picking from a certain spot it is a nice way to go.

For which draft spot to select, It depends if there is someone you really want to get.  If there is, then go as low as you can and still get them.  This year I would want to be 1 or 2 and get DJ or Bell.  I wouldn't over think it.  If you really don't care about getting one of those then I would want to be at the end of the draft.  I personally hate picking in the middle.

I really don't like the 3rd round reversal draft type.  Nothing wrong with the standard serpentine.  Even better try to talk them into an auction.  Much better than any draft type.

DJ and Bell are just too much of an advantage.

It is SUCH an advantage to be 1 or 2 this year.  There will be good players in the late 2nd/early 3rd.  DJ and Bell are leaps and bounds better than anyone else.
