I almost never missed The Sports Reports when it was on.  Sunday morning, I never really wanted to watch anything heavy, I used to turn it on, wish Mike Lupica would go away but otherwise enjoy a quiet Sunday morning with a cup of coffee.  Each and every single time Jason Whitlock would come on, I felt he was honest and sincere and made that program better.  And, just like you LLP, 90% of the time I agree with him.  His take on Kobe is dead on to me, very good player, I don't hate Kobe in the least but Kobe was and always will be about Kobe first, always :
