Seriously I did. Joe's Crab Shack in Roseville, MN. Real life.
Used the fork to scoop em right off the cobb. I couldn't stop watching. I felt like George in that Mr. Pitt candy bar episode.Stuck it in the side to keep his hand clean? Or some other way?
Went to college right down the road from there. My wife eats corn like this. I don't get it.Seriously I did. Joe's Crab Shack in Roseville, MN. Real life.
First thing I thought of when I saw this post.Used the fork to scoop em right off the cobb. I couldn't stop watching. I felt like George in that Mr. Pitt candy bar episode.Stuck it in the side to keep his hand clean? Or some other way?
You're not eating corn on the cob if you take it off the cob.I cut off the kernels with a knife prior to eating.I just don't see the upside in eating straight off the cob. I would get fibers caught in my teeth pretty much every time. I learned to stop trying to swim upstream. Also, usually, when I'm eating CotC, there's something else I'd like to add in (roasted, diced chiles, onion, etc).
Very well then. I prefer corn very recently removed from the cob to corn on the cob.It makes sense to cook corn while on the cob. Obviously, it makes grilling easier. (For the fools that boil their CotC, that advantage doesn't matter much). You're not eating corn on the cob if you take it off the cob.I cut off the kernels with a knife prior to eating.

I had my front two teeth knock out when I was young. I am careful to not to put much pressure on my front teeth, but I still do. Can you eat corn on the cob with dentures?I have a cap on one of my front teeth due to chipping it a while back, and I am always careful biting down on something where the front teeth do the actual biting down. That said, whenever I eat corn on the cob, I eat it from the cob, but am very careful, and can understand this reason why people might take it off the cob first.

You know how they call corn on the cob "corn on the cob", right? But that's how it comes out of the ground, man. They should call that "corn". They should call every other version "corn off the cob". It's not like if you cut off my arm, you would call my arm "Mitch"; but then reattach it and call it "Mitch all together".
Had a buddy teach me this.Best way to cook corn on the cob:
microwave it for exactly 4 minutes, still inside the husk
Do you do that with individual pieces, how much more time do you add per ear?Joe Summer said:Best way to cook corn on the cob:

Have you recovered from this yet?Seriously I did. Joe's Crab Shack in Roseville, MN. Real life.
Same here. The corners of my two front teeth are bonded. I was advised against biting into apples and corn on the cob. I love fresh corn on the cob so I still get it as a side, but cut the corn off with a knife and then eat it with a fork.I have a cap on one of my front teeth due to chipping it a while back, and I am always careful biting down on something where the front teeth do the actual biting down. Soak the corn in husk in water for 10 minutes. Place on the grill over medium-high heat for five minutes, rotate 1/4 turn, and grill another five minutes. Repeat rotate and grill steps two more times for a total of twenty minutes on the grill. Thank me later.Joe Summer said:Best way to cook corn on the cob:
