Agreed, but he has had a decent chance so far. 6 carries, got only 9 yards. Positive thing is that the coaches still want to get Gado involved. Unless its a ploy to motivate Dayne, in Gado they trust.Gado has a much better track record than Dayne. One would think he will get a chance at some point.
Dayne was pretty good as a rookie too.Gado had it a bit easier being the guy as opposed to splitting time with Tiki but all in all they each had pretty good rookie years, don't ya think?Agreed, but he has had a decent chance so far.Gado has a much better track record than Dayne. Thanks for the indepth analysis! And he will actually be productive
Highest payed line in the NFLKubicek calls him Ronnie not Dayne. Guess who his favorite back is. Sherman is the one pimping Gado. They all suck behind that offensive line.
Any factual basis? Or even coaches comments to support this claim? Or just a hunch? And he will actually be productive
How about "guarantee you Gado never starts another game in his life."That bold enough?Gado sucks guys. Get over it. He'll start if the rest of the backfield goes on IR.Wait a minute -- you mean someone posted a ridiculous prediction in the Shark Pool that flopped miserably, and then didn't check back into the thread to own up?I can't fathom this.I'm shocked that wtu311 didn't check back in here.
I didn't even know he was in jail? This is the week Gado busts out. Book it.![]()
I still believe! This is the week Gado busts out. Book it.![]()
He's in now. 3 carries for 2 yds and 2 catches for 17.Rev it up!
You gotta think that secures him the starting job next week.1-10-HOU28 (3:35) S.Gado right tackle to HST 31 for 3 yards (K.Coleman).
Welcome back GB. There is still plenty of room on this wagon.Forgot i made this thread lol at least i used the words "i think"![]()
I agree, that Mario pick was stupid. Houston is averaging a PATHETIC 3.05 yards per attempt. Imagine how much better they'd be running if they'd drafted Reggie Bush, who is busy averaging 2.95 behind a SUPERIOR offensive line! Plus they could use his receiving skills to help out David Carr, who is CLEARLY struggling this season with his 100+ passer rating. And he would have been a huge upgrade at returner over Terrence Mathis- that scrub has only made one pro bowl in the last year as a return specialist! Get a clue, Houston!I didn't even know he was in jail? This is the week Gado busts out. Book it.![]()
Seriously, I almost used Gado as a keeper this season. I liked his upside had A. Green not been able to return to health before our draft. He showed some talent last season in his backup role in Green Bay. I even went as far as drafting him again this season. After he was traded to Houston and that terrible offensive line, I had to let him go. I strongly believe that he has talent to get the job done if placed in the correct situation. What is the correct situation you ask? Well for starters, how about a coaching staff with half a clue. Super Mario my eye............

I think you need about three years to truly gage the mistake of not drafting Bush but I find it hard to imagine outside of injury that it will ever be a smart thing passing on him. They are not a terrible team and Bush would have certainly helped take pressure off Carr. If you have him running all over the place in the slot, in the backfield, and out on the perimeter for a quick out...the safeties have to be wary. The whole defense shifts. This thread is a weekly comedy routine for me but the Houston situation is far from funny.I agree, that Mario pick was stupid. Houston is averaging a PATHETIC 3.05 yards per attempt. Well, theoretically, anyone who wouldn't have been cut from the roster would help the team (because he'd be better than at least 1 of the top 53 players, i.e. the team would be improved if he was around). That's not the question, though- the question is whether Bush over a veteran minimum RB would have helped the team more than Mario Williams and a veteran minimum DE. Hard to say, as they've both looked pretty brutally bad out there. Either way, I think we should probably wait for Reggie to crack 3 yards per carry before we start talking about how big of a mistake passing on him was.JetsWillWin said:So you're sayinig that having Bush wouldn't help the Texan offense?SSOG said:I agree, that Mario pick was stupid. With Dayne/Gado doing absolutely nothing, any possibility that Lundy gets another shot, or is it over for him?
Lundy was not on the Houston injury report. So, looks like he was a healthy scratch from today's game. With no running game to speak of, certainly anything can happen, but obviously the fact that he was not even active doesn't bode well for his chances.Texans declared SS Guss Scott, RB Wali Lundy, CB Demarcus Faggins, FB Vonta Leach, LB Roy Manning, T Brad Bedell, WR Derrick Lewis, and DE Antwan Peek inactive for Week 6.
Agreed - Lundy has been a healthy scratch since he's clearly third in the pecking order and Kubiak isn't dressing 3 halfbacks. That said, it doesn't seem like #1 and #2 are entrenched by any stretch, so we'll see how it plays out. For keeper/dynasty purposes, it might not be a bad idea to stash Lundy away just in case. With Dayne/Gado doing absolutely nothing, any possibility that Lundy gets another shot, or is it over for him?Lundy was not on the Houston injury report.
