I have $8.37 burning a hole in my pocket and a 3 foot trophy with my team name, record, and quote describing my season's accomplishments seems the best way to spend it.

You should never do it without seeking the permission of the league first.
Why? If they didn't give me one why should I have to ask? Or will I get into trouble by infringing on the league's name?Do I need to get express written consent?

Please link the establishment where you can get such a trophy for such a practical price. I'd like to get one for myself!

I just assumed that is how much they cost. Are they expensive? I didn't make too much in this league so paying anything more than $10 for a trophy would really eat into my winnings.Maybe I could make a ring.

You have to ask yourself why didn't they? There's probably something written in fine print in your league by-laws specifically covering this issue. I advise you to consult your league commissioner and to give him ample time to get back to you as league commissioner's are very busy people.

Seeing how much this trophy means to you I better say this as easy as I can. But the trophy you're seeking and the amount of money you have to buy probably could have been purchased back in 1965.I think a ring would be a great idea........I think CrackJack's still puts out a ring at the bottom of every box and you could also have a snack for this year's Super Bowl as well!

our league gets them for about $15 or so ... they're cheapo, but hey it's the bragging rights that matter.heck i would get one. get one for yourself and next year try to make it standard in that league ... it's fun having something like that for the winner. especially at work where it sits up higher than all the cubicle walls and you can see it from anywhere in the room.www.riherds.com

I went to goodwill and bought an old curling trophy for .50. Replaced the curler at a trophy shop with a football guy. Probably cost me less than $5.

Wanting a trophy for winning your fantasy football league seems sort of dorky to me. Heck, if you are any good at this where would you put all those cheap trophys?

 Shouldn't you have replaced the curling guy with someone sitting at a computer or on a couch?

Go find yourself a 8 dollar 37 cent hooker 2nite and take some photos. Email them to your league members.Got paid. Got laid.

I think it would be pretty funny to just arrive at the draft/auction next year with your championship trophy. Keep it next to you, put it on display, whatever. When the fellas give you a hard time, tell them that you will be happy to pass it on to them, but they have to win it first.

You are commissioner material sir. If you were in my league you'd have my vote because this out of the box type thinking is what I'm looking for.

Should we make it a new trophy each year or get a big one like the stanley cup with all of the league's past winners. That would be cool.I could take it with me for a week to the bars and pick up h0tties.

We get a new one each year with an engraving like (company name) Fantasy Football, 2005 or whatever ... the stanley cup idea is pretty cool too though.

Every league I have ever been in has a trophy where the winners names are engraved. This year some co-workers coerced me into joining their free yahoo league. So I did to shut them up. And won, but they didn't have a trophy. I went to the local trophy shop and for $10 I got one that stands about 10" high, on top is a rotating frame. One side is a molded metal picture of a football field the other is a plaque where champions are inscribed.Did I ask? NO! It is well worth the $10 to rub it in everyones faces.

That is why you do a plaque. That way you can put all your SB accomplishments from mulitple leagues on it to keep track of.

I see where you're coming from, but everyone in my league is 6'3", 215 and runs a 4.3. The only time we even watch TV is when football is on. I think the trophy is appropriate for our athletic prowess. The dude on top kind of looks Heisman-esque too which is kind of cool.

You have a good eye for talent - I am the commish. :bye: I must say that after 10 years and getting to the last side of our first base on the trophy before we go to another level, it is pretty cool having something to remind you of the winning teams.

Probably makes a difference for the original poster if it is a local league. If guys can see your trophy on occasion, that's great. If it's an internet league, making yourself a trophy seems kind of lame.

EDIT - didn't realize it was a work league.

shopping around for trophies.if anyone has any other suggestions i'd appreciate it.
Take your $8.37 to Home Depot and make your own trophy. It'll be sweet. You could make it like six feet tall out of PVC tubing and a block of wood for the base. Get some gold spray paint and maybe some X-Mas lights on clearance to snaz it up. Grab a universal remote for top (since we watch football, not play it) and paint the whole thing gold. Bring that bad lad to your draft next year and the whole league will know who the Top Dog is!

You should make it one of those 7' jobs. Like the ones they give to race car driver's. And a big belt buckle would also be great.
