Ice Cream (1 Viewer)

No offense but that seems to have taken quite some time to reach you.

Congrats though, it's a great combo. Enjoy.

Brusters has Graham Central Station which is my favorite - graham flavored ice cream with chunks of graham crackers and chocolate as well. Basically a glorified s'more without the marshmallow.

can we speak of Fudgie the Whale up in here? Cookie ####? the Santa cake, which was basically an inverted Fudgie? Sealtest Ice Milk? Fro-Yo? Sno-Cones? Soft vs. Hard?

TIA  ?

Similar concept to Coldstone but sounds cool.  Will check it out next time I'm in Vegas.
Are you sure? This looks like liquid put on the stone. Coldstone basically puts hard ice cream down and mixes in flavors or candy from what I recall.

Yup that's why I said similar and not same.

Correct.  They pour out the flavored cream on an anti-griddle and make ice cream.  They mix in stuff too.

Never had it, but always willing to try.  Have you had the Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla?

Anyway, that Cappuccino Fudge thing looks amazing.
Yes, I have tried Blue Bell.  It is very good, but Publix wins H2H.  The cappuccino one almost, almost, almost...edges out mint chocolate chip for all-time best in my book.  It is amazing.

If you're in Columbus and want an ice cream treat, this is the place to go. Imagine a frozen yogurt shop but they don't sell yogurt, they sell COOKIE DOUGH topped with ice cream and toppings.

Full disclosure: I am in no way financially connected with the Cookie Dough Creamery, though I do have somewhat of a personal relationship with the owner.

I remember a place... chain?... called Steve's in the 80s. first time I'd ever had the mix-ins and all mashed up. am I making this up?
You might be.

Actually I have no idea. First place I've seen do that is Cold Stone. I grew up on Carvel in the 80s.

Report back - would love to hear how this turned out.
I made this for a group lunch at a work buddy's house.  All 8 people really liked it.  The texture was odd due to the toasted rice, but it was a weird that I liked.

Substitutions: I used basmati rice and Earl Grey tea since we didn't have jasmine rice or Oolong/darjeeling tea.

When I make this next time, I'll skip the tea.  I don't think I tasted it in there, and it complicated the preparation.
