A Safety credited to a defensive player scores two points in most leagues, but isn't that short-sided?
Assuming the player gets credit for a tackle, tackle for loss, or sack (depending upon the play) to go alongside the two points, I still think that shortchanges this play.
I know, there aren't alot of safeties scored week-in week-out, but still it should count for more points.
The reason?
A safety is also a TURNOVER, as the defense gives the ball back to the offense on the free kick.
So, all of you Commissioners, consider adding the # of points you award for a turnover also to the points for the safety to replicate what really occurs on the NFL field.
