Im recovered from the jetlag AND the Delhi Belly, so you guys are in trouble.
:lmao: :lmao: I've never heard that before. I'm now recovered from choking on a hard pretzel, so make that two of us who are better off than we were previously.

I knew I wouldn't like the 10 spot. I initially thought I would be able to get Moss at 10, but he goes at 7. Then since Gore slid so far, I was hoping to get him at 10, but he goes at 8. I really didn't like any of the RB's at 10 so went with T.O. I like his late bye and IMO the best route to survivor wins are get as many studs as you can and score as many points as you can. T.O. fits the bill there. :football:

I wonder what the news on Peyton Manning's left knee has to do with Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Braylon Edwards & Larry Fitzgerald being selected over Reggie Wayne.

Happy to get Gore and Brady to start. Wouldn't have guessed that.
Yeah, nice start. Didn't think Reggie would last as long as he did either in a ppr.
Brady and Bush definitely stand out as the best values so far.
Good pick on SSmith - he was certainly on my radar at my 2nd pick.
He was my other predraft in the second, but I figured he wasn't making it back.Oh and linky for BST:

I almost took Brady at 1.10 but just don't like taking QB's that early. Then when he was still there at 2.03, I told myself he was too much value to pass on. But then I realized since I had passed on a RB in the 1st in favor of T.O. I could not afford to take Brady and wait until 3.10 to draft my 1st RB. Hopefully it won't come back to bite me in the butt. :hifive:

Very Happy with my start! :hifive:

Westbrook - I had him ranked even with LT (in a ppr lg); love getting em at the 1.04

M Colston and Chad Johnson - locks in my WR1 and WR2 pts

I like this start. Why I wish I had the 1.1.I got catching up to do as I like Portis, Johnson and Holt but feel I am behind your team.

With 8 pts per sack, I didnt see Allen making it around to my 4.10, and I see him as the IDP who will outscore the pack on offense 3 or 4 weeks out of the year. He had five 20+ pt games out of 14 on a crappy Chiefs team. I saw this as no different than when Gates was coming off his dominant year in 05.more thoughts on the allen pick:

allen is 44th overall in PPG in this format, 23rd among non QBsi consider him about the same as gates coming off his 05 season, in this scoring formatallen's scoring profile is not that different than chad johnson'sonly difference is about what, 20 WRs were over 15 PPGallen is the only DE over 15 and he's at 17 and change

Wouldn't have thought I'd take 3 RBs out of the block, but that's where the value was with a flex position as well. Have always had luck finding WRs late; will be testing that one this time.

And I did like the Allen pick; bit early to me, but wouldn't have been there for his next pick.

Went with BMarshall over Wes Welker in a close call - but how can I have WR1, WR2 and QB1 all off in Week 4?

I'm not overly intimidated by bye weeks, but 3 of first 4 picks seems excessive.

:X at Duckboy's reply.....

You really complaining about getting Welker over Marshall?

I came close to taking Marshall myself, but some things I read convinced me Brown will be good and healthy. He's the only available rb I would have taken over EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Just forces me into having RB1 and WR1 off Week 4. Had Marshall slightly higher anyway - actually had those 2 predrafted after McGahee for my 3rd pick. Not really a major complaint, but after seeing him fall almost all the way, my hopes were dashed :wall:

Still Very Happy with my start!

Westbrook - I had him ranked even with LT (in a ppr lg); love getting em at the 1.04

M Colston, Chad Johnson, Roy Williams - locks in my WR pts

added Demarcus Ware DAL LB - high sack potential and a 10th rnd bye

Roy Williams was certainly on the radar but there was only 2 RB's I liked left in the 4th in Brown and Maroney. Brown went so that left 1 guy. Not big on the guys taken afterwards at all. Roy was #1 on my next pre-draft though but unfortunately went next.

Ronnie Brown at 4.04 is a high-risk, high-reward pick. It's gold if he's healthy by Week 1.
Yep. He did go 3.03 in the Leg 1B Balanced league and in the 4th in the experts draft Dodds put up a couple days ago so it was the right neighborhood for him to go. And the FBG staff has him ranked around where I took him.

My team thus far:

Larry Johnson

B.Edwards

J.Witten

T.Gonzalez

P.Willis

B.Urlacher

I'm never one to draft defense early. In fact I typically make it a point to be the last team to concentrate on defense because I feel it's easy to find good value in DB's, DL's and, to a lesser extent, LB's. But I feel with our scoring system and the fact that it's important to score lots of points each and every week (or else you're eliminated) it was important to get 2 premeire LB's.

I wasn't planning on drafting two TE's, but feel that Gonzalez will score as many points as any of the RB's or WR's that was available at the time. In this league you can 'start' 2 TE's, so it's a nice luxury to have two Top TE's.

But with that said, I'm going to be in trouble if I don't pick the right QB. Brady, P.Manning, Brees, Romo & Palmer are easy choices. It's muddled after that. I also have to make my picks count at RB & WR. God help me if there's a good LB available with my next pick.

Still not a bad looking start BB. :(

1.05 Addai, Joseph IND RB

2.08 Bush, Reggie NOS RB

3.05 McGahee, Willis BAL RB

4.08 Welker, Wes NEP WR

5.05 Merriman, Shawne SDC LB

6.08 Umenyiora, Osi NYG DE

Should easily be the best RB crew in the league, barring injury. Got my LB2 and DL2 in this system so a good start there. Need to find decent value at the other slots though, and having 3 guys off Week 4 may drive some of my tossup picks. Satisfied so far, but a lot of work to do.

7.05 Cotchery, Jerricho NYJ WR8.08 Moss, Santana WAS WR :whew: 2 of the three guys I wanted at my 7th/8th picks (Galloway was the other); big drop after them. Solidifies the WRs a bit more.

You really made out getting Cotchery that late. :goodposting:

YOu guys did a great job of taking all my guys that turn. Really wanted Chris Chambers. Thanks Tex.

Even though looking at it, I get Cooley as my TE instead and Gates = Chambers but in the end he is the #1 passing option in SD. So thinking along those lines is not too bad. But not what I wanted still. DeAngelo was my other thought

Roethlisberger, Ben PIT QB - 6

Graham, Earnest TBB RB - 10

Jones, Thomas NYJ RB - 5

Lynch, Marshawn BUF RB - 6

Chambers, Chris SDC WR - 9

Owens, Terrell DAL WR - 10

Shockey, Jeremy NYG TE - 4

Williams, Mario HOU DE - 8

Not really all that happy with this team at this point but I knew drafting out of the 10 spot, I wouldn't like it. I'm sure though that after I look at it a little more in depth, I'll like it better.

1.04 Westbrook, Brian PHI RB - love the value at spot#4

2.09 Colston, Marques NOS WR

3.04 Johnson, Chad CIN WR

4.09 Williams, Roy DET WR - 2nd - 4th picks solid WRs

5.04 Ware, Demarcus DAL LB

6.09 Cole, Trent PHI DE

7.04 Johnson, Rudi CIN RB - solid RB (for 7th rnd)

8.09 Anderson, Derek CLE QB

9.04 Taylor, Fred JAC RB (nice pick in the 9th for this format)

Sig, I was on the fence between Cutler and Garrard...I was really leaning towards DG, but at the last minute changed my mind to Cutler
Both are pretty dang solid for a 9th round pick. If it makes you feel better, I had Cutler ahead of Garrard on my predraft.
