In an established 3 player keeper league, that is drafting IDP's this year. Our current scoring has bonus for distance touchdowns, and 10 pt bonus for 100 yds rush/ receive or 300 passing. Average weekly score is around 70 pts.

starting 1 with 1 reserve for DB, LB, DL.

suggestions on scoring??

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thread in the IDP Forum about big play vs tackle leagues. You'll need to decide two things up front. Do you want a league where steady tacklers and all-around players are emphasized or a league that values big plays? Leagues that give 1 pt per solo tackle and 2-3 pts per sack or INT are going to heavily favor big tackle guys while seriously devaluing a guy like Demarcus Ware, especially when you're only rostering four players. Giving 5x tackle for a sack/INT will bring the give a big play LB or CB value again.

Next you'll need to decide how much value you want an IDP to have. My guess is not much since you're only starting three, but it's still worth considering whether you'd rather have a top LB score like a RB1 or WR3.

One good way to play with the scoring and see what it does to the relative value within a position and in comparison to the others is to setup a test MFL league and tweak the parameters until the 2006 season year-end rankings look like you want them too.
